I was hoping on seeing if you would actually put something behind your claims for once, on here.

I hate betting against the Chiefs because I know like hell I'll be rooting for them 100%...

I hope they do win. I would lose all of my fantasy games and get punched in the face in exchange for a Chiefs win @ Indy...

That would be the happiest moment of the freaking year for me...easily.

I will eat an AIDS infested crow if it were to happen.

But it won't.

We aren't good enough to beat those guys on their turf yet...

I'm picking the Chiefs to lose also. I'm 3-0 on the year with my predictions, and I hope to god I go 3-1. But you must take into account that you're a huuuge Peyton Manning homer, and the Colts are one of the teams that you seem to be enamored with.

I am a huge Peyton Manning fan.

He's the closest thing to Michael Jordan I've ever seen.

He's the best football player I've ever watched.

He's absolutely amazing and the things he does are unbelievable...

And this is a QB driven league...and other than that rough stretch they had (before rattling off like 9 straight) in 2008 (when Lucas Field opened up)...they don't lose at home.

and yet suddenly people are giving us a 60% shot of victory?!

What?

WHAT?

Yeah, thats kinda my thoughts. If we can get pressure on Manning, preferably without having to use alot of blitzes, this will help. And run the ball down their throats to eat up as much clock as possible and keep Peyton off of the field as much as possible.

BossChief 10-01-2010 12:24 AM

OK then.

We win, I own your avatar or sig rights for a month...whichever you choose.

We lose and you own my sig or avatar for two weeks (given the perceived difference in the teams and how Indy is an overwhelming favorite in the game)

If we go over 140 yards, you cant talk about Peyton Manning till January

If we dont, I cant talk about Moeaki till January.

That sound fair?

Hootie 10-01-2010 12:25 AM

I think we need to start using more 4 receiver sets with Charles and McCluster both in the game...pick your poison with those two and try to get one open in space.

Seriously...I wouldn't be opposed one bit to the Chiefs using Charles more like the Saints use Bush...except with more carries of course...but shit...no reason why TJ and JC can't be in the game at the same time...even McCluster, too.

So many options with these dynamic playmakers...

Heh. Not me. I'm give us a 20% chance to win.

But the match-ups are there, and our defense is better this year than it has been in a decade. This is going to be closer than 14 points. I'm thinking something closer to 27-24 as the final score. With that said, if we come that close to winning against them I will be very happy.

I love the draw play where we have Jones as the HB, Charles and McCluster in the slot and they begin the play as if it's a bubble screen, then Jones has a huge hole up the middle of the field. That play is MONEY.

Axe the Manning part because I can't reasonably go that long without talking about him ROFL and you have a deal.

I just hope people don't get some notion that I'm rooting for the Colts...because I am absolutely not going to do so. Not one bit.

Guys...

I live in Champaign, IL...

Every day for the last week (during the day) I have walked up and down campus with a Chiefs shirt on...every Wednesday at my bowling league I sport a Chiefs shirt or jersey...

I love the Chiefs. More than anything...even my girlfriend knows where she stands...

but I'm going to be realistic about this game in Indy.

we don't seem to be good enough to get the ball to Bowe/Chambers anyways...so why not feature Charles/McCluster/TJ on the field more often...

But like I said...

all the options...we're turning into a "pick your poison" nightmare for opposing DCs...

Dude, in 2007 (when we were a god awful team as a whole) in Croyles first NFL start and Herm as coach...we lost by 3 points to Indy at Indy in a game we missed three field goals.

This team is far better at damn near every single position from then and I would have to say that with the exception of PM, the Colts aren't any better at almost any position over their 2007 team.

I think you are underestimating our chances in this game.

we meet in the middle and drop the month to December 1st and we have a "e-shake" on the bet.

At least it will add something fun to the outcome...deal?

Bob Sanders was the DMVP of that year I believe. And although I think Bullitt is awesome, he isn't as good as Sanders when he's not injured.

I think you're comparing apples to oranges here...the teams you are comparing have absolutely NO SIMILARITIES...

but hey...

bet is done...

and when I win I probably won't even tough your sig or avatar...because I don't care...but you're trying to act like I never "stand by my claims" which is total bullshit.

hence the "damn near every position" in my post.

Dude...

It's pretty easy to stop talking about a rookie TE...

Peyton Manning is brought up more on this Chiefs board than Tony Moeaki...

I'm not going to stop talking about Peyton Manning...that is just setting me up for something that isn't going to happen.
