I think you've probably been sniffing paint and eating bad styrofoam if you think Matt Cassel is an efficient quarterback, unless you mean "below average who shites in his own pants when he really HAS to make a play".

I want the Chiefs to beat the Jags like they owe them money and caught them outside of Quicktrip because of history.....this is the same team that brought in 3rd string Quinn F-ing Gray and made the Chiefs look like a JV squad.

I agree but he is doing what they are asking him to do, limit negative plays, don't take sacks and don't turn ball over.

I remember that game and i totally agree

what is with everyone on this board?

Dude did nothing but make a pretty good post and everyone starts railing on him?

You guys are all a bunch of idiots.

They may be angry about the loss, but the bigger question is, “Can they do anything about it?”

We are angry about a loss too. MORE ANGRY.

What do you think would happen if they asked him to do more? Because asking so little of your starting QB won't cut it in the playoffs the majority of the time...

I think they're keeping him on a short leash because they know what will happen if they don't. It's worked so far this season, but I can't see how we continue that way.

All I said was hit the Enter key every once in a while.

ass

The Chiefs wouldn't be asking a good quarterback to "not lose games"....

Cassel absolutely wets the bed when he HAS to make a play.

He looked better last week, until he had to...

Thats not there strengh they want to run the ball and play great defense, not make mistakes. And it will in colder climates, ie Arrowhead in January but you are correct it won't most times. But we have beat or should have beat 3 of the best offenses in SD, Indy and Houston

Well, to be accurate, he did hit the enter key every once in a while.

Unfortunately, he didn't hit it twice every once in a while.

I have a hunch that Weis is taking baby steps with Cassel to break some bad habits and establish good ones before turning him loose. At least I hope that's what he's doing. It's not that I have faith in Cassel, but that I have faith in Weis that I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Well.... you have to admit that the way they're playing has significantly reduced Cassel's old tendency to hold the ball too long and end up taking tons of sacks.

Cassel is good at doing what he's asked. His only drawbacks are his confidence and his downfield accuracy. I have no doubt that if he were capable of the accurate 30-40 yd strikes, they'd be asking him to do that. At least a few shots. I mean you can count on one hand the number of passes that traveled further than 30 yds in the air.
