If you think Pioli and Haley give a shit what the fans think you are wrong.

If you think the players on the team want to go into the season with an untested rookie QB you are wrong.

Fans can't start a QB controversy. It wouldn't matter if Stanzi came in and won the game going 20 -20 and 2 Td's. There would be no controversy except here, meaning no controversy.

You give too much credit to what you and CP thinks when it comes to actual decision making and what most fans think.

You know who can start a controversy? Players. Players who see one quarterbacks poise in the pocket, and his on target throws, and his leadership style in the huddle, and players who see other teams grow very successful starting young quarterbacks.

But us fans don't mean shit to this team. You nailed that one though.

Palko may actually be able to execute the offense at a faster speed than stanzi can yet.

I missed that moment too, but I had a fantasy football draft a few days ago with a group that is mostly from other parts of the country and who follow other NFL teams and I was surprised when one of them made a joke about planning to take Stanzi in the first. The "Stanzi as superhero" meme must be pretty widespread.

I think the point about Stanzi is potential. He's shown more in limited snaps than Palko has over the course of a couple years.

Watching Palko piss the game down his leg while an exciting rookie prospect sits on the bench is frustrating.

This more or less, most of the people wondering why we didn't see Stanzi last night simply because it'd be nice to see someone that has flashed potential playing with 1s than more of a guy that looked lost while playing with the 1s against GB's 2s and 3s.

Yesterday was clearly about the starters. Putting stanzi in there would have impaired their ability to play at a "real" game tempo.

Why? I don't recall Stanzi having trouble with clock management when he played the prior games.
