Well, I certainly do expect to win. But I've seen more than one young/raw/rookie QB give the Pats defense trouble over the years, and that was before this very inconsistent bunch of nobodies that we're rolling out there now.

Personally I think everyone deserves a fair chance to show what they have got. When it falls apart, rinse and repeat. Cassel fell apart at the end of last season and should've been replaced in the offseason. Due to the lockout, I can see why we went into this season with him... but next season there is no excuse for Pioli.

Yeah ... I thought Cassel had shown enough ass for us to forego his 10 billion dollar roster bonus a year or so ago. I figured Clark would put the kibosh on that whole idea. Then, we win the division and Cassel goes to the Pro Bowl on some fluke statistical anomaly.

I still don't understand the Palko hate, though.

Looking at his record at Pitt ... it's actually kind of impressive. Then, he gets no love from the NFL at draft time and floats around forever. He must love the game, though, because he's stuck around.

The book on him is that he's smart, knows the game, and works his ass off constantly ... not bad characteristics.

I don't understand why we're supposed to hate him so much at this point.

I think Palko may do a better job of hitting receivers in stride than Cassel, and have the right pace on the ball depending on the type of throw. Cassel makes the receivers adjust to make the catch too much and often does not have the right pace on his throws.

Palko seems to me to have worked hard and I would not be surprised if he does well.

I am more interested in seeing him than Ricky Stanzi, at this point.

Unless he's gotten a lot better at reading defenses with all his sideline experience, prepare to see a lot of stupid ints.

I agree .There is reason for all you guys to be hating on him.He will look like Marino compared to cassel.Which by the way he broke Marinos record at PITT.So all of you just calm down give him a shot.
