That just further proves what a little boy Haley really was. Oh no, Charlie's getting the credit!!!

Hell yeah. I was a borderline Haley supporter, but if this is true, Haley should have been gone a long time ago.

Bottom line, both Haley and Pioli have tremendous egos. They were going to end up resenting each other and struggling over credit/blame.

Did someone say ego? /Whitlock

Yeah Whitlock with some ground breaking journalism here...

ROFL

Why people keep qouting him as a source is beyond stupid... Every ****ing GM and HC in the league have an ego...

You dont get to the top of your profession without an EGO of some sort.

JFC people, stop licking the ballsack of Whitlock...

Local take that Weis was in Cassel's corner and Haley wasn't is completely false. That's a myth perpetuated to undercut Haley at the end.

isn't robinson the one who broke the miami scandal?

Hammock Parties 12-12-2011 12:28 PM

The only guy in Cassel's corner is Pioli.

Haley and Weis were just trying to do their job.

DaWolf 12-12-2011 12:28 PM

So if that's true, then does that mean Haley inserted Muir as OC so that he could get most of the offensive credit? Cause I 100% don't get what that was.

I also wonder if we sat on all that cap room because of this situation.

Wonder if the looming lockout was another reason Haley survived...

No matter who at fault, this is like an episode of "As the world turns"

Reaper16 12-12-2011 12:29 PM

Of course, it's possible that Pioli is the one leaking this info to Charles Robinson.

Yeah, Haley doesn't look good in that sense. But Weis looks worse washing his hands of the QB that the godfather gave them. WTF? Unless Cassel was negotiable with Pioli, Weis' refusal to work with Cassel seems like a reason to immediately fire the guy. JFC, this whole thing was MORE dysfunctional than even the worst rumors suggested.

I have no doubt.

Actually, it proves that Haley being a crybaby was inconsequential in the grand scheme of things because the ENTIRE ORGANIZATION is inept, top to bottom.

So he should just start lobbing shit out there with no legitimate 'news' to connect it to? Further, why would sources bring it to him at that point? There was no story yet. Should Robinson have just gone out digging for dirt on a coach that was actually winning games? If anything, that's the mark of a guy that's going to give you a lot of crap along the way.

If you don't believe the guy, it's only because you don't like what he's saying. Go through his resume - there has never been a reason to doubt the veracity of Robinson's sources.

Everyone has a first stumble, but until I see it, I'm going to give his words a lot of weight. Like I said - he's dealt with far bigger issues than Todd Haley and has absolutely nothing to gain by manufacturing information here.

Why would that undercut Haley? Sounds like a pro, not a con...
