and you propose to do what exactly? reach for a qb in the first round so he can more than likely bust for 3 or four years and we're back to where we started? no thank you sir. what we need to do is realize where we are at and come to grips of what is best for the team in the immediate future. bring in josh, draft a couple of OL early to help protect cassell and the running game, charles and moeaki will be back from injury and let let matt flourish.

Matt 'flourishing' is eking out narrow victories over bottom tier teams. Otherwise, it's Matt wasting everyone's time.

John Clayton just said Josh McDanieks won't be back in Stl and that "if he doesn't want the job in Kansas City, he will go back to NE"

The way he worded that comment seems to indicate the job is his if he wants it.

The OC job.

let me know how that goes. so tell me what the difference is when you draft a QB every 3-4 years, be-it they're busts, or buy into an unproven QB that hasn't done shit in 3-4 years and signing a busted ass QB every half decade who never amounts to shit? I'll go with drafting a QB every ****ing year till your guy is found. Instead you're overlooking the real problem and want to draft OL every year in the draft where ultimately the team is only as good as its QB. You'll take Jake Long, Joe Thomas, Brandon Albert over Matt Ryan, Aaron Rodgers, Matt Stafford, Peyton Manning, and Cam Newton right? Drafting a QB is like having a new baby. They're sponges and will learn a hell of a lot faster under the first system instead of buying a QB that was under multiple systems and can't teach 'em new tricks and can't get them out of their own bad habits.

Actually I just looked it up. McDaniels offenses in Denver ranked 19th and 20th. ****.

And he basically refused to run the ball.

A year later, they are the top running attack in the league.

He didn't have Cassel in Denver. He would here.

no he wasn't he was hurt with the shoulder injury and SD just drafted Rivers who was benched getting a huge contract. Brady is the goddamn exception if you haven't figured that out by now. What year was he drafted again? How many years has it been since a 7 rounder QB made as big of an impact as Brady let a lone ever?
