What's that got to do with Jericho Cotchery? Are they signing him up as sacrifice to Jones so that we can keep Baldwin healthy?

I don't care at all because this would be a throw-away signing--low money and few years. But it does remind me of the mistake that was obviously made with McReach, and that's decently annoying when one just wants to forget about some things.

in case Bowe refuses to sign?

has to be a better option

Messier 03-17-2012 09:34 AM

Are people thinking he'd be a starter? I'm thinking 4th on depth chart, which I'd be fine with.

so as a 4th wr, a veteran like him is going to be a gunner and wedge buster on special team? Normally a 4th WR is a young, stupid guy who's desperately trying to prove himself.

This is a Special Teams Pick up

Let's put it this way, he can replace Colbert/Urban, and do their job better.

Every time I watched the Jets I didn't think Cotchery was that bad. I think they forced him out for no reason. If we were bringing him in to play the top 3 I would be hating this, but if we got a super-low contract for a 4th WR/SP player, I think Cotchery is alright. With 2 TE and two, maybe 3 quality RBs, I am not sure our 4th WR is going to see that much time. If they get him for the cheap I would be fine with this.

Why would he want the same situation he was forced into with the Jets?

Maybe he wouldn't. If he can get a spot where he is #3 or higher then more power to him.

These responses are hilarious. Oh noes, they are interested in a veteran camp body to compete for a bottom rung reciever spot.

Free agent Jerricho Cotchery will visit the Chiefs on Monday. We knew the Chiefs had "significant interest" in the veteran chain mover, but he had yet to schedule a visit. If Cotchery can't come to terms in Kansas City, his former Jets will be the leader in the clubhouse for his services. Mar 17 - 9:30

I truly wonder if they do sign Jerricho do they cut Breaston?

ChiefsCountry 03-19-2012 07:54 AM

Letting Cotchery go was stupid of the Jets last year.
