Chris Rock doesn't condone it, but he understands.

Disclaimer: I'm not suggesting that the police are at fault. If he wasn't legally intoxicated, they had absolutely no grounds on which to detain him. |

that had to have happened AFTER the police incident. they woke him at 6:30 to go to a meeting by some reports. |

I agree. There is a pattern with jealously and control types to be that way in large part because they can't trust themselves and imagine others are just as untrustworthy. No idea if that was the case, but I have found this out the hard way before. |
The part I don't understand is how the police come upon Belcher sleeping in his car at 2AM or whatever. If a guy is sleeping in his car, likely the seats laid back. It would be very difficult to see him in his car in the middle of the night. And even if he was, why would the police want to wake him and, get all his information. It's not illegal to sleep in your car, and the weather was nice that night, the police wouldn't have been worried about his health from the cold. Something else happened during that time frame.

What I do believe is that the story from a friend of Perkins about how they were up at 1AM arguing, is completely false. Or at least it wouldn't be possible if the story about him and the other girl are true. |

However, I haven't really focused too heavily on it yet. |

Police are going to check out a Bentley with blacked out windows early in the morning. It's just their M.O.
