The NFL average is higher than I expected, but in no state of the world should a fired coach who went 12-20 his last two years get the highest paycheck in the League. Hunt's money or not.

Wow, amazing that coaches who have built a resume in the league make a lot more money than those who are on their first job.

Jason predicted the Chiefs to go 16-0 in 1998.

You know what 1998 was?

The year Marty "created a free agent roster disaster".

I was just thinking that Reid's tenure in Philly was somewhat similar to Marty in KC. Both started relatively strong and brought stability. The Eagles had more success, but both ended up a bit of mess trying for a quick fix with all sorts of free agents and ended in disappointment. Marty was able to go to other clubs and turn them around, hopefully at a minimum, Reid can steer KC back to playoff contention every year. Reid's choice of DC will be critical.

True, but that isn't Fox's fault.

Not the end-all, but Fox was also the last HC hired that year. No bargaining power when zero jobs are available and a DC position pays less $$.

With his logic-we should get Jeff George as QB

He did the very same thing in 2009, and we know how that turned out.

Hopefully he is wrong this time, but at the very least this team should be getting a QB drafted.

Hey, I’ve lived in Los Angeles for more than two years. I’ve heard all the Kardashian stories. Yes, they can put that thang on ya. But the truth is, there are more fish in the sea.

Yeah, Fatlock was right about Egoli in 2009.

Even a blind squirrel will stumble across an acorn every now and then. Fatlock is wrong just as often as he's right.

Well, he loved the Herm hire. And was still defending him in 2007/2008 saying he needed 2 more years to get it done.

Your "point" is reeruned. You're complaining because Reid is making as much or more than Belichick is, when in fact nobody knows how much money Bill Belichick makes.

Reid makes less money than Sean Payton and more money than Pete Carroll. He's directly between those two. If that doesn't sound right, you don't understand the NFL.

For being about the only member of the media who is an active member on the site, the whole "Fatlock" thing is a bit much for me. Can we agree to retire the term?

He DOES read what we post about him, I think we ought to show him that courtesy at least.

No.

It's a term of affection, n00b.

I have no blinders on with Andy Reid.

I think he will bring this Franchise back to respectability. But I do not think he will lead us to a SB. I am hoping after a time of 3-5 years a "Young Gun" asst. will emerge and take us the rest of the way.
