Not elite... well above average but not elite.

And people acting like the Dolphins somehow would be better off with Ryan is ludicrous. That organization is so ****ed. Yes, we all know QB is the most important position but let's not swing so far to delusional that we think a QB can fix a completely dysfunctional org.

Agree to disagree on that one.

I think Ryan is very similar to the QB they traded: Matt Schaub.

And I don't think Schaub is elite.

Schaub is just a journeyman. Ryan will end up in the hof.

It possibly could have. How many QBs have the Dolphins drafted/signed since they drafted Jake Long?

All of those picks/money could have been spent on other positions.

They picked 2 QBs in the ****ing 2nd round 2 consecutive seasons in a row(Beck being prior to Long and White) as well as taking Tannehill in the 1st.

3 years worth of high picks that could've been spent on other positions to help that team. Instead they spun their wheels trying to find a ****ing QB.

At least they have Superbowl appearances during that time line.

They're not like another ****ing team I know that made the playoffs 25 consecutive seasons without advancing to the Stanley Cup in hockey.

All that matters are Superbowl wins. Since 2005.....they have zero.

So the Patriots traded away multiple first round picks, multiple second round picks and fourth round picks for three players?

That, as well as incompetent management.

They picked Ginn in the 1st round in 2007.

Wow.

I think there's a 50/50 chance that he won't be back with Atlanta in 2014.

So dumb.

Falcons are going to dump their top 10 QB because they have that backup plan in place thats going to be better.

Since Ryan was drafted, here are the picks in the first three rounds

2008
2 offense (0 skill position)
3 defense

2009
0 offense (0 skill position)
3 defense

2010
1 offense (0 skill position)
2 defense

2011
1 offense (1 skill position)
1 defense

2012
2 offense (0 skill position)
0 defense

They have literally drafted 1 skill position player to go with him in 5 years in the first three rounds.
