That's like saying a dogshit sandwich is better than a horseshit sandwich

In the end, you're still eating shit

This is the 4th niner backup brought in to lead the chiefs, in not too long.

Bono, Grbac, Montana, and now Smith.

Unprecedented ( I think ).

But I'll go ahead and say this again. Alex is a top 15 QB. Easy. He's a well played veteran at 29 and will work extremely well with Andy Reid. At this point he's a more athletic Peyton Manning.

Yeah he is a top 15 Qb and so is Matt Cassel.

Matt Cassel - 58.9 completion %, 13,495 yards, 82 TD, 57 INT, 24 Fumbles, 80.4 Passer Rating

Alex Smith - 59.3 completion %, 14,280 yards, 81 TD, 63 INT, 36 Fumbles, 79.1 Passer Rating

Throw to first option, check down, or run.

Isn't this a thread about how Smith is better than Cassel?

But seriously... he's better than Cassel. Probably better than Orton. We'll win games with him. But we all know for damn sure it isn't enough.

The extremes we'll go to to try and convince ourselves everything is okay despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

Except he isn't. Quit ****ing repeating this lie that he is better than Cassel. Cassel is a giant piece of shit, smith is an even bigger piece of shit.

It's idiotic the shit some people are saying. Cassel was horrible and this guy is worse but somehow people think he is better. I just dont get it. The niners win half of the games Smith started last year if smith never throws a single td. The guy won because his team won. He has like 6 wins vs teams over 500 in the last 2 years and one of those came against the Steelers 20-3 where rapingloser threw 3 ints.

Cool highlight thread. Now post the lowlights.

you guys are insane. Alex smith is way better than cassel and alex is still barely good. Cassel is the last qb i'd take out of the 32 startesr last year.

It's been 26 years. Give it one more year from someone with some clarity.

Oxycontin is more to the east of Missouri now. Meth is the cool thing around here.

It's actually 5. Before Dave Krieg they had Deberg who was also the Niners backup. Deberg replaced Jaworski who was an over the hill washed up Eagles backup.
