Source telling me, at this moment, things are not looking good between Dumervil and Broncos. A lot can happen in 39 mins though. #ticktock

Per team source, Dumervil REMAINS a Denver Bronco!!!!

My understanding is that Elvis Dumervil agreed to a sizable paycut.

MagicHef 03-15-2013 01:36 PM

Perfect.

BossChief 03-15-2013 01:36 PM

Will the Chiefs try a similar thing next year, with Hali?

ThaVirus 03-15-2013 01:37 PM

Oh well, Dumervil doesn't scare me anymore. We ran on them pretty well last season and I don't remember him putting much pressure on our shitty ass QBs anyway.

I'm more annoyed by the fact that guys like him and Welker are taking pay cuts to play with Peyton while he collects his $20 mill a year.

You really have no reason to be scared of Dumervil. The Broncos were going to beat the Chiefs twice next year whether he stayed or not.

What was the deadline today for?

His $12 million salary became guaranteed at 4ET. Word is he agreed to reduce it to $8 million.

I believe his cap hits are around $12 million for the rest of the years in his contract.

I wouldn't be so sure.

I'm sure you weren't worried last season because we had Brady Quinn manning the helm, but we played you pretty tight at Arrowhead. Alex Smith is a damn sight better than that dumpster fire so we'll see how it shakes out.

Dumervil takes a paycut to stay a Donkey...

Good deal ... at the end of the day, this is what I thought (and hoped) would happen. His number drops to $8M... much more reasonable.
