The Chiefs are trying to get to the Superbowl in a way that has the worst percentages to get there. Trying to win with a retread qb is the hardest way to do it. can it be done sure, but its the exception to the rule!!

Its an easy thing to see if you step back and look. The qb was bench as soon as his old team seen the window cracked and never looked back. It happened like that for a reason!

Resigned some of the better players on the team instead of trading them away. Pursued free agents aggressively.

I absolutely hate Alex Smith and I desperately needed hope at the Qb position.Ill wait after the draft to see if the chiefs pull something brilliant or if I can root for another team. Ive had more than enough of this mediocrity.

You have every right to grip if they do that. It would make little sense. They absolutely should wait a full year before worrying about Smiths contract.

make no mistake--I'm pissed like a TON of other chiefs fans. it's not just fun tailgating at this point, I've poured my heart and soul into this team for the majority of my life. I just turned 30 years old--I've seen three playoff wins, one for every decade of my life (and the last one, sadly, was barely after I had turned ten years old). I've watched us try to fit the square peg into the round hole for over 25 years. it's just getting depressing now--they really don't know how dangerously close they are to losing a whole freaking generation to this team---and how many of us that should have DECADES rooting for this team will just give up and slink away (and stop rooting for them). they're at the edge of a precipice, and they freaking gave themselves a nice shove by trading for alex smith--and if they're not right, man... I can't even imagine.

I don't know anything about what they called themselves. He's the guy that's about as unlike Todd Haley as you can get though and detoxing was looking for differences.

A QB he identified as the best option among many, just like he did with Alex Smith apparently.
