I wouldnt have done a 4th either, a 5th is the most I would have done. Glad Dorsey stuck to his guns

Make it conditional. Guy is really good, young and cheap. And a true #1 WR

For anyone not paying attention Falcons fans have complained about him all year.

We do know Gonzo will retire (for sure) at year's end.

We don't know what a 3rd or 4th pick will do...

Falcons fans may complain but I've seen him play in a couple of games this year and still looking like an unstoppable freak. The Chiefs will be in the playoffs this January. Lots of 3rd down situations, goal line situations, etc. Can't imagine how anybody can envision what that looks like with Tony vs without, and come away thinking, "No, that 2014 fourth rounder is too valuable."

Cleveland isn't going to make a conditional trade.

I'm going to choose to believe this was the case to avoid going insane.

Mr. Laz 10-29-2013 04:31 PM

a 3rd round pick to rent Tony for 8 games?

get the **** out ...

wazu 10-29-2013 04:34 PM

The 3rd round pick is too much, but let's stop calling it a rental "for 8 games". It's a rental for the playoffs in hopes of making a Superbowl run.

I think we can win it all this year, let's do it.

Not as things stand now. However, with better o-line play and offense in general and a little luck we can. We have the defense.

TG instantly makes this offense better. We are only one or two pieces away.

Yep. That's why I'd have parted with a 4th. Like I said, makes no difference if Atlanta was firm demanding a 3rd. No way I'd do that unless it came with a guarantee that we get the pick back if we don't win the Super Bowl. :)

Mother****erJones 10-29-2013 04:37 PM

This offense will only improve if the oline improves

notorious 10-29-2013 04:37 PM

JFC

Our TEs are already getting open. We don't need that old turd.

I hear ya. Still not worth a 3rd. A 4th - yes. But not a 3rd.
