Also from what I was taught to remove old battery neg off first then positive. Put new battery in connect pos first then neg.

This is correct.

If you go to take the positive off first and accidentally touch something metal under that hood that is grounded with the wrench it could cause a spark, which could cause a battery explosion. By taking the negative ground off first you eliminate the possibility. Same when putting the new battery in so reverse the process, positive first, then negative.

In my Sebring you have to pull off the driver side tire and remove the panel to change the battery. Pain in the frigging ass when it went out on me in the mid of a frigging blizzard.

Costco, if you're a member. No battery is "cheap" these days but they have a good price and a good warranty.

What exactly does that mean? You can just keep swapping in and out batteries for free for the rest of your life, but all of them are used?

Yep. Used battery and lifetime warranty on your current car.
A lot of wrecked cars come in with perfectly good batteries.

The last time I tried this, they wouldn't honor it saying I had no proof that I was the one that bought the battery. It was an Interstate with a sticker directly on the battery saying it was under warranty. But they denied it and I had to pay.

Where are you pulling this off at?

Its a junkyard in Iowa. Not far from my house. But like I said, this used one I have has been in 3 years working properly, so I havent been able to see if they would honor it or not. But I did recomend it to my pal, and he bought one and it died like a month later, so they just gave him another used one at no cost.
