Are they going to make an actual movie? Or was Prelude to Axanar just a little thing they drummed up?

If they do, that should be pretty good. I actually liked that one.

Having JG Hertzler in there doesn't hurt, of course.

If I remember right, that was only made to promo the kickstarter for preproduction of the full feature, and they ended up with 5 or 6 times their goal, equalling their projected cost for the entire production. I'd have to look it up to be sure, but I'm heading out the door right now.

They're using low quality cameras, bad lighting and cheap looking costumes.

The lighting is especially bad and the audio pickup isn't great.

God the music is bad, too. And the dialogue is soooo terrible it just takes the actors into Hayden territory.

Its such a shame this is all ****ed up now, the first reboot was an excellent piece of action/sci-fi... I had never cared for ST before it and came out of that movie a big fan, watched it again this weekend matter o fact.

Even the second movie with Cumberbatch wasnt all that bad, both of the new reboots were FAR better than any previous Trek films IMO.

I liked both the new Star Treks as well. People want to get pissed at Into Darkness because JJ shits all over the Khan storyline. I get that, but if you remove those memories from watching that show it makes for a much better movie. I thought JJ did a decent job of explaining how and why Khan was found and why he was brought back.

That said, the Khan scream by Spock was an awful idea, lol.

I enjoyed the reboot but didn't love it. I'd give it a 6 out of 10.

I purposely avoided ITD, mainly because that nuclear grade hack, Damon Lindleof, wrote the script but bought it for $3.99 on an Amazon Christmas sale in late December 2013.

I paid $3.99 too much. Did not like.

Damon Lindelof just kind of drops a big bomb of **** on whatever he's associated with, doesn't he?

Well, that's my experience. I couldn't watch Prometheus, either, without thinking that he screwed it up, too.
