He did have 5 games under 200 yards though. In all but 1 of those sub 200 games he threw 28 passes or more.

And none of those 5 teams had a top 10 pass defense...

Wow. Those are some sad numbers.

What he have, 3300 yards? Whooptee ****ing do.

You predicted like 6 wins and 3000 yards....fail!

How many of those sub 200 games did the team lose?

2 lost, 2 others without a TD pass and 4 ypa.

EDIT: 1 lost, jumped up on the schedule 1 game when looking at his stats.

To be fair 1 of those games was the Washington game and we were just face raping them. There was no real need for Smith to be airing it out...

So, now you're saying that Alex Smith would be successful if we had a good offensive line plus better receivers? Noted.

I doubt even then he would win anything significant.

are we defining success as not shitting his pants and ALMOST winning a wildcard game?

saphojunkie 08-13-2014 03:51 PM

I think I've asked you this in the past, but what would it take for him to win you over? Because, as far as I can tell, if that fumble doesn't bounce directly into Luck's hands, we aren't having this conversation.

No only did he not shit his pants, he gave us a huge lead on the road without our #1 weapon... thats what I call success.

Are we defining 378 yards, 4 TD, 0 INT and a 119.7 passer rating on the road in the playoffs as "not shitting his pants?"

Alex kicked ass in our road playoff game. If only our pass rushers weren't banged up and our secondary wasn't trash we would have easily won that game and who knows what could have happened after that. Sometimes I wonder if some of you guys really remember what it was like to have Matt Cassel and the carousel of garbage AIDS infected dipshits we trotted out there during the Herm and Pioli years. Because I do, and watching Alex Smith in the latter part of last season was a breath of ****ing fresh air by comparison.

Whether we won the game or not has not to do with Alex's numbers those are not the stats of a Franchise QB.
