You won't see the Giants pitchers getting many hits. The biggest advantage they have is that they have more experience at laying down that critical bunt in late innings to get a runner in scoring position. But then you (Royals) also gain an advantage in that the guy you'll use as your pinch hitter, following that critical bunt, will most likely be your DH and so will have about a million more at bats on the season than does the Giants pinch hitter... so - wash.

Also, Bochi is going to be more practiced in strategy regarding how to maneuver around the pitching spot in the line up than Yost will be.

Good luck...

I don't think we're going to see any KC pitchers batting in the late innings.

We're 8-1 in the postseason using the same formula.

This so-called "strategy" is not interesting, and the creators of the game of baseball never intended for it to exist. The AL is the more pure form of the game now, and closer to how it was played in the very beginning and in every other level, where everyone in the lineup is a credible batter.

Well being that I'm a fan of a team from the senior circuit, we can just agree to disagree. Plus watching Madbum bat is awesome.

Well, we can agree on something

This isn't getting nearly enough play here. Hosmer and/or Moose should rape.

I get that point, and I have conceded it as well. My point is that this is still a topic worth discussing, versus summarily dismissing it as some form fan stupidity. RF at AT&T with wind is going to be a tough task for anyone playing that position. I'd much rather have Cain patrolling Right and Dyson in CF for games 3 & 4. That makes a lot of sense given that Dyson is better against Righties than Aoki. Aoki takes the field in Game 5 vs MadBum.

Again, I concede the thought of ****ing with the formula that works, but we haven't played in AT&T yet with this group. Adjusting defensively could be a positive difference maker for the Royals. I'm good with whatever happens, but I enjoy the discussion and think it's certainly debatable which way to go.

Lol. It's 309 down the right field line, but the wall is ridiculously high.

What an odd field.

I got Gonzo to give you privilages bavk for your av. Change it please.

Hootie 10-23-2014 06:00 PM

I'm not changing my av. I'll consider changing it after the WS. I refuse to jinx this team. Turn your CP on 'At Work Mode' if it bothers you so much.

Vargas is clearly our best hitter that's also a pitcher

I can't see it happening both sides are adamant to changing it, makes it interesting having two different sets of rules for both leagues I think.

If you are talking about the only people who matter (owners and players), I don't really see it as an insurmountable obstacle. I think we'll have all DH someday.
