I checked the site and found 2 $150 tickets tonight, and 1 stand alone $380 ticket for tomorrow.

Vividseats had quite a few for $74-75 earlier today.

The problem is the Royals are dumb and didn't do ANY single game tickets at the box office like last year. Now there's 4000 tickets on Stubhub and the scalpers and shitheads trying to make a buck off actual fans are gonna lose money.

Serves both parties right.

Obviously I'm bitter because I got to see 3 playoff games last year simply by showing up at the K and plopping down my credit card when they went on sale.

Gordon batting 8th...ok, Ned...we all trust you and your mysterious voodoo.

Remember when he was 6th and everyone bitched about making him 1st? After a brief trial, Ned went the other way...

Watching BJs vs Texans, should I feel bad rooting for the blue jays? I really really want a BJ vs Royals ALCS.

Sounds like you can keep doing that if you want. Why bitter?

I haven't said much about the post season until today.

I had the honor of being the OP author of the Wild Card Thread last year vs. Oakland, for one of the most historic, if not the most historic game in Royals history. Certainly the biggest game in the last 30 years.

Now that we've won the Central a year later, I look at today with guarded optimism. I think there is some truth with long time KC fans that there is a great deal of battered wife syndrome lurking. I mean, look at me. My teams from childhood have been the Chiefs, Royals and Mizzou. Can you name a bigger Bermuda triangle of failure the past 40 years?

Today I'm just happy that we're in the dance, and we've got home field, although a home team has yet to win a game in this years playoffs.

It's a fact of life that the more you get, the more you want. Then I look at today, and think about those years when this team lost 100 games a season, and I'm grateful we at least have a fighting chance to do great things again this year.

If we lose to Houston in the ALDS will I be disappointed, sure, but I won't be crushed. I'm certainly not expecting us to sweep our way to the series again this year. That's why last year was so once in a lifetime; it just doesn't happen. I think we'll be in a bunch of dogfights this time. But when you really think about it, anything from this point is the good stuff in baseball, it's a reward for being a fan. The Royals have earned a chance to do something magical again, and that's all we can ask as fans.

So, Go Royals, thanks for this year, and let's enjoy the ride.
