 THIS!

At the very least we should be able to do it enough for it to be a legitimate threat and to keep the defense honest.

Smith actually trusting his targets won't hurt any either.

Either him or dagnabbit is probably ror, though.

Sure it is the lebron bashing outed him. He can't resist a dig at him....dagnabit is ror

I am worried that this is Go Chiefs and my Alex Smith feelings are already getting hurt.

It is obvious that you do not know what you are talking about.

I wish we had a Desean Jackson type player..... Someone who could get deep, yet wide open.....

Why? That type doesn't fit in this offense or Alex Smiths capabilities.

You must not know Andy Reid offense very well then...... And Alex Smith does have a deep ball, suggest you watch the touch down to Avery Vs. the Colts in the playoff game.

The defense will not be as good, too. Alex will have to throw more to lead us from behind. He'll have 4000 yards and 30 TDs at LEAST. This will be the year of the glorious Chiefs passing game. The stars are aligned.

I think it is you that doesn't know Alex Smith and his completion percentages for deep passes nor do I think you know the percentages of plays that we actually have thrown deep.
This is not the Donovan McNabb, Andy Reid offense that was used in Philly.

Alex is definitely improving as a deep ball thrower.

In 2014, he only threw 18 passes that traveled 21 yards in the air or more.

In 2015, that number went all the way up to 32...nearly double.

With the additions at receiver both in FA and the draft, I expect that number to get close to 40 in 2016.

Maybe a little more, depending how how defenses play us when Hill and Robinson get on the field.

Cmon with that nonsense. That's an article from 2014 and Alex was a different player last year.

Look at who he was throwing to in 2014.

Donnie Avery
Dwayne Bowe
AJ Jenkins
Frankie Hammond

I mean the ONLY guy we had at receiver in 2014 that even deserves to be on an NFL roster was Albert Wilson.

Everybody else is washed out, now.
