Different team this year with the injury to Moose and the other obvious things that have transpired. Not hard to see. This team isn't the same.

And that's ok.

Royals have zero trade bait. Don't expect any moves at this year's deadline. This is what it's gonna be, sink or swim. Money will need to be spent this offseason to fill the holes and with the core group all having expiring contracts I expect the money WILL get spent to make another run next year.
