Yeah it's not like they even ****ing tried. They didn't even have a dumb bullshit pregame show, it was like eh **** it lets make 50 bucks instead.

Was there an issue with how Sutton coached the playoffs? I thought the defense played pretty well for a team missing their star pass rusher. But I can't really remember.

Just not a fan. Makes poor adjustments. I think we could do better.

****ing hated the commentary, they brought up more bullshit then I could ever think of. Read script the whole way, hey guy's, talk about about the ****ing play and not a bunch of past bullshit.

I miss Rachel Santschi...

On a positive note, Allen Bailey looks more intimidating than ever.

I don't like how Sutton tends to go into his shell with high caliber QBs. He tries to rush 3 or 4 while dropping the rest and gets carved continuously. The Chiefs' strength is in their pass rush. If the opposition neutralizes it, so be it, but when your DC does it for them, it gets frustrating.

OFFENSE:

QB:

1. Alex Smith looked like Alex Smith. He made a great play, in which he scrambled, bought time and threw a bullet to Maclin on the 1/2 yardline. The offense was sharp and efficient. He made some great throws to Ross Travis and D. Harris.

2. Nick Foles did a decent enough job but his accuracy was an issue (which has been described by Paylor during TC). He's got a command of the huddle but he needs time to create some chemistry with the receivers.

3. Tyler Bray was Tyler Bray. 2 for 9 at one point. Terrible decision making, bad throws but one beautiful sideline throw to Rod Streater.

4. Aaron Murray was sharp and efficient. His arm looked much stronger this year and he had a few bullets to Da'Ron Brown that were right on the money.

5. Kevin Hogan was disappointing. For all of the positive reviews of OTA's and minicamp, he looked lost. He consistently threw behind his receivers and looks like a Practice Squad guy.

RB's

Spencer Ware picked up where he left off during the regular season. He looked strong, quick and powerful. Charcandrick West showed his typical burst and played well. Knile Davis was fairly ineffective and Darren Reaves clearly outplayed him.

WR's
Maclin was his usual impressive self. Streater had a great catch but missed on a long gainer. Hill was targeted 4 times but only came away with one catch, as they were pretty poor throws. DAT had three receptions and made the most of his opportunities. Da'Ron Brown and Mike Williams each had a nice grab with Murray but otherwise failed to impress. Chris Conley was invisible.

TE's
Harris made a couple of great grabs while dropping another. Ross Travis made a great catch and really looks like he'll be a weapon this season along with Kelce and Maclin

OL:
Best starting offensive line performance in more than a decade, IMO. Solid from left to right. The second team offensive line did pretty well, too. Fulton was solid and Sterup looks like a guy that could become a solid swing tackle. I'm not sure they slip him through waivers now. The 3rd teamers were pretty rank.

----------
The bottom line for me is that there's a HUGE dropoff between Smith to Foles and Murray and even steeper from Murray to Bray & Hogan. The second team line was good enough. The TE's look like a strength and there's depth at WR, although it's hard to rank them at this point because they haven't all played with Smith but at this point, Maclin and Streater look like the two best receivers.

Nice summary, Dane.

I was forced to watch the Seahawks' broadcast and those guys were terrible too. Apparently, every third stringer on that team is destined for the HOF. Zzzz

Also, some pretty backhanded comments about Arrowhead. Said several times how it was the loudest stadium outside of Seattle. Also talked about how Seattle's stadium next Thursday night was guaranteed to not have all the empty seats they saw today at Arrowhead and they were surprised because they thought the Chiefs had better fans. Also laughed about how the Chiefs won their first postseason game in 22 years last season and Russell Wilson already had seven postseason wins (which is unfortunately true).

Doesn't bother me too much. There's a reason teams don't blitz Peyton and Brady. I think blitzing is a bit overrated, just like the deep ball. There are times to use it and times not to. I don't think our D played terrible against NE given that Houston didn't play. Brady with a healthy Edelman and Gronk is going to carve up a lot of teams.

Finally just watched it on DVR. 1st team offense looked good. I like our starting oline. Don't recall the last time I saw Smith have that clean of a pocket for that amount of time on the pass to Maclin.

Dee Ford looked like his previous lost self. Dadi Nicolas looks like a potential gem. Moses also looked good.

Bray looks like the exact same guy we saw two years ago. Has no touch on short passes, might as well cut bait. Smith, Foles, Murray (who had a nice game) with Hogan on the PS at this point.

Knile still the best KR but Hill may push him. Also thought Hill showed some promise as a receiver.

Didn't notice if Robinson was even on the field other than for a KR but was overall impressed with the draft class. The depth on this team showed well, particularly dline. Other than the fluke hail mary drive at the end the Chiefs pretty much controlled the game in my opinion.

Also Santos was outstanding.

The first-string OL looked great. They were opening up huge holes and getting a lot of push in the running game. Jamaal Charles behind this line could be something special. They were also giving Alex a lot of time. I was most impressed with that unit.

The younger players in the secondary were concerning. Cooper was his usual self, just a day late and a dollar short. Nelson seemed to be the most targeted and they had a lot of success against him.

Run defense also looked weak but we're missing 3 All-Pros/Pro Bowlers so I'll wait to start pulling my hair out.

Let's not forget...Seahawks will likely be one of the top NFC teams. Potentially in the SB...

It's not like they were playing the Bears...preseason or not.
