This is what the sliders look like, though they're smaller than this. Great sweet sauce.

Just try to give me the names of the local places and the specific food that you're nominating, and I can look for pics on Yelp. Local places are definitely allowed, but we want good pics, because folks are gonna likely be voting based on those if they haven't tried any of the entries in a heat.

Taco truck in LA. Got a burrito and 4 tacos for $9.50 and they were the best tacos and burrito that I had ever had. The burrito was comparable in size to a chipotle burrito but tasted far better. Cuts of meat was anything from your usual chicken, beef, etc to pork belly, organ meat (if that's your thing), etc. They also had grilled onions and pickled veggies on the side as well as freshly made extra salsa.

Easily the best meal under $10 that I have ever had. Explosion of flavor in every bite.

$7 and it's amazing. Toss in a home-made baklava for $1.00 and you're still just under.

There is a place here in Omaha called Foodies. They have just about every type of food you could want: pizza, sandwiches, Mexican, and pastas just to name a few. Pretty much everything on the menu is just below $10 and everything is delicious. I eat there just about every other day and I get something new each time. I have yet to eat something I did not just love. They do have a salad which I don't think is on the menu that is a little rich for you at $12 but that ****ing thing is the best salad I have ever had. It is like a strawberry candied pecan salad or something like that.

Every single damn thing on the Fred and Red's Menu. Especially the tamale spread with beans.

And for those who didn't know, they are back open.

There's a tiny little barbecue hut called Chubby's in bum-**** bootheel Missouri (Hayti, to be precise).

You can eat yourself absolutely stuffed, get 3 sides and a big ol' orange soda for like $8. Great vinegar sauces and stuff. Just a good old smokehouse barbecue joint. I haven't been there since I stopped having to travel that way for work so if prices have gone up much, it may be outside of our $10 barrier, but in 2010ish, that would've definitely been my nomination.

Literally almost anything at Shiro's in Honolulu - saimin restaurant. Many would call it ramen. The Big Brah large wun tun min is $8.15.

Little holes in the wall like that are where its at, Porgys only has two outlets that I know of and neither can seat more than maybe 25-30... but the lines go way out the door for them constantly

And its not like anyone is expecting Urbana/Champaign to have great BBQ but they sure do, I got hooked because I worked there for a little over a year at 18-19 years of age... then I got fired because I was too busy partying most of the time to make it in :shake:

I remember the managers words well... "you do a good job when you're here, but you're never here!"

But yeah, pretty much. The prune-based soft drink is integral to the $10 experience.

Mr Pibb was great. Pibb Xtra sucks.

Should probably mention any meal at Chicken Annie's in SE Kansas (the one east of Girard is easily the best).

Sandwich and drink at the Mall Deli in Pittsburg should also be included.
