My way of thinking is, we would be better with Mahomes. So the idea of waiting until we are out of it is unfair to Mahomes. he would make us better now, while we are in the running.

Based on what?

I think mahomes has all the potential in the world but alex hasn’t lost the team yet. Mahomes will get the keys no question next year why rush?

Why rush? For this year. Why wait for next year? I think Mahomes can take us further this year than Alex can.

It would look better for Reid if he makes the switch and Mahomes excels than for Smith to go down with an injury and Mahomes comes in and excels torching defenses.

Why wait till next year? Mahomes has half the year watching Smith tank the season. It's time to give our future a chance and make our future now.

I find the excuse that Mahomes has to learn the playbook as bunk. Andy Reid had to change the offense up for Alex Smith what he did in College as a Ute to his best abilities and that includes the shovel pass. So the offense needs to change to the quarterback not the quarterback change to system. Of course Patrick needs to learn the terminology but he has proved to be smart he should have everything down by now.

This offense can open up the playbook with Patrick than it can with Alex Smith. Patrick just has talent that Alex could only dream of.

Alex Smith has been terrible the past several games. Mahomes couldn't be any worse. The Chiefs are currently in first place. Reid may not want to put in Mahomes and see the Chargers overtake them. This may happen with Alex Smith, but I get why they wouldn't want to start Mahomes for a few more games. That sucks.

The thing is what if Patrick ****ing blows the doors off with this offense? I mean Jesus H Merican Christ here. His talent and smarts makes him the quarterback that gives us the best chance of winning meaningful games this year. In preseason he made guys like DAT into super stud. He elevates players around him the offense line will look like maulers. They will have a guy that doens't abandon the play but extends it out to give his playmakers opportunities to make plays. That's simply what Alex Smith doesn't do.

No reason to start him. Starting or sitting 6 MEANINGLESS games won’t make or break his career. Keep him on the bench and healthy for 2018.

It's awesome that we actually have a lame duck.

It means we finally have a QBOTF...
