On the NFL Network, one of the analysts said Tomlin “is the Alex Smith of head coaches”. His cohort said, “Actually, he’s the Andy Reid of head coaches.”

Not saying Andy Reid is better. Tomlin just isn't very good. He won championships with Cowhers players and hasn't been back since. His players run the asylum. he's a defensive coach with a shit defense. Makes terrible game calls, and gets bailed out by otherworldly talent. You guys are suffering from grass is greener syndrome.

Cowher is probably the most overrated coach in history.

Haley turned Ben into an elite QB. Roethlisberger was basically Alex Smith before Haley.

16 game averages in 8 seasons before Haley:

Yards: 3730
Comp %: 63.1%
TD/INT: 23/14
QB Rating: 92.1

16 game averages in 6 seasons with Haley:

Yards: 4556
Comp %: 65.2%
TD/INT:31/14
QB Rating: 96.0

Its pretty easy to see why Haley is still around when you look at how he turned Ben into an elite QB.

I'm not the biggest Haley fan around either after the bullshit job he did here, but his results as OC speak for themselves.

And this is why they'll be watching from home this weekend.

Real football > Fantasy football

The madden generation / fantasy football generation has a hard time understanding why some quarterbacks with middling stats win tons of games, and why some with great stats are watching the playoffs from recliners.

It's because many of the most important things they do don't show up on a stat sheet.

Like protecting leads by scoring in the second half?
