You forgot the part about him being volatile

No, keep him and get one of the best shut down corners in the league for another 2 years. Who cares if he's volatile. 2 years of shutdown corner is worth the bad behavior. The coaches and personnel get paid enough to handle volatile. Peters is hardly the first NFL star with a bad attitude.

What would've been the problem with holding on to him until draft day or after....even into training camp.

A team misses out on a draft target, injuries, etc. and who knows what you get.

Trading him this early makes absolutely no ****ing sense.

I checked the angry boxes, but i'll give the trade an "M".

...For Mahomes....'cause without that...Peters or not, its still the same thing....6/one-half dozen/the other.

So keep the distractions on the field?

talent on the field would seem to be the most important thing when it comes to winning football games, which I believe is an NFL team's primary objective

In football sense, I would of taken the gamble. Teams miss out on a big CB in the draft or they lose a starter in camp.

IMO at worst, they were getting a later on 3rd round comp. I don't think the trade moved the needle to feel pressed to do this today.

I can't help but think this is happening now because fat **** Chiefs fans, that haven't seen their own dicks since Montana, sent emails to Clark because his knee made contact with grass.

I have to hope that there was something much worse because if this is the reason then Clark Hunt is a bigger idiot then I thought.

He's to busy dealing with legal problems to make smart decisions.

Only makes sense if it's purely a PR move handed down from the dipshit owner.

Clark's only qualification for running a football team is that his daddy was rich. This whole country ****ing sucks

You don't think his quality off-field traits wouldn't ooze over to the field? Ya feel me?

So far they've oozed into him having a HOF start to his career.

Oddly, yours may actually be the stupidest comment in this thread.

The only leverage he had was to not show up until he got a deal that paid him $20+ mil a year. Which I could see him doing. Maybe he already told the Chiefs that’s what awaited them which they’d have to disclose and could be the reason we’re getting a 2nd and a 4th for him.

Still a dumb trade.

Rasputin 02-26-2018 02:40 PM

It's not like corner backs grow on trees that's the problem. You find one you keep him so teams don't ****ing pass and make ass out of the secondary.

Now without a first round pick we have to take chances on other risk/reward corner back and hope we hit.

Mother****erJones 02-26-2018 02:41 PM

I’ll post this in the Peters thread to and I came up with this today. Mahomes needs to be the new leader in this locker room and maybe this was part of it. Move Peters so he can influence nor challenge him. Mahomes needs to be the alpha
