ROFL well obviously not.

I was askingwhat you thought about it if he was extended though.

Hoover 09-23-2018 09:17 AM

well at least he's on the last year of his contract, I'd say go all in.

I don't see a 4-5 year contract for a 29 year old safety. I agree with milkman, about the rental, too. With both Berry and Sorenson out for who knows how long, a 3 year deal with him might be worth it.

Thomas’s main beef this offseason has been the Seahawks failing to extend him... so I am guessing any team showing interest probably has intentions of extending him, right? Otherwise you risk inheriting the same drama that Seattle has had with him... I dunno...

No way we should give up Hunt.

One year rental to win it all. To motivate him you tell him to come play your ass off and then next year you're FA and go anywhere you want.

Now that we have Mahomes maybe we'll see quality players knocking on our door willing to take a little discount.

Get it done Veach!

Chiefshrink 09-23-2018 09:20 AM

Well it will be interesting for sure to see what happens here. Veach and his scouts know what is coming out this next April's draft and you cross reference that with whatever move he makes now i.e. ET.

Who said anything like that?

Hoover 09-23-2018 09:21 AM

no way I give them a 2nd rounder for an expensive player in his last year, no way. Maybe a 4th

What about Ford?

Hoover 09-23-2018 09:22 AM

and no way we tie up even more money in the saftey position by giving him a long term contract.

Mortgaging future assets for a chance to win now.

As long as the price isn't too steep, pull the damn trigger.

Baseball is a different animal.

I can't remember an NFL team mortgaging it's future this way.
