Man, can you imagine the switchboard at Arrowhead this afternoon? All the pissed off people who made airline and hotel reservations? Jeez, what a cluster F. This makes the league look really disorganized. I'm sure the players are relieved they don't have to go down and play on a stitched together rug at altitude. And as far as smog in LA goes, we can bring in a lot of oxygen tanks for the sidelines. That's no big deal.

Kind of like that Hall of Fame game in Canton they canceled less than 24 hours prior to kickoff. Reason: poor field conditions

ESPN reporting that the Lambs are not returning to LA from Colorado Springs until Saturday.

That can't be right unless they are staying in Colorado Springs to avoid the wildfire issues?

The wildfires aren't affecting them at all

This is actually better for the Chiefs. We already played in LA once this year. So they're used to being in SoCal.

plus no chance of Montezuma's Revenge

Actually, I think this reflects very well on the league. They wont be blamed for the field conditions and they made the absolute right decision to move the game to LA. Good job for once, NFL.

They made the right decision moving the game, but the fact they are even in this situation is an embarrassment to a $10 billion business.

30+ Rams staff/players/coaches have been evacuated from their homes because of the wildfires.

Holy crap, just checking KC-LA airfare for Southwest and the cheap flights are evaporating QUICKLY. Damn.

Seriously - how in the actual **** do you let that happen? 'First come, first serve' isn't exactly a viable business plan when you have a contractual obligation to an international, billion dollar property like the NFL.

The NFL can/should sue the **** out of some people over it. This is remarkably bush league.

You would think the NFL would have been more on top of the issue but apparently they weren't and only started paying attention after the issue was brought to light.

Let me rephrase:

The wildfires aren't affecting their decision to remain in Colorado at all. I think some people think the entire city is under a cloud of smoke which isn't accurate.

It’s more or less still being played in Mexico anyway

Kayak.com has quite a few round trips under $500 if anyone is interested.
