Good move. He's relatively cheap and he's fast as hell.

MMXcalibur 12-28-2018 01:11 AM

Awesome!

NOW HOLD ONTO THE ****ING BALL

jaa1025 12-28-2018 03:16 AM

I think he's the ideal back for this offense personally.

Danguardace 12-28-2018 03:36 AM

Fumbling ****

I just hope that was a one off

milkshock 12-28-2018 03:37 AM

Good - from what I’ve seen apart the one crucial fumble, he is an upgrade over Ware.

Maybe he likes a winning culture. Maybe he knows playing with Big Dick Pat will give him more opportunities and maybe he wants a super bowl. It’s not all about money. Before the season DAT signed here instead of another team where he could’ve made 1.25 mil more

i think he recognizes in KC he's a playmaker, vs miami where he was JAG

2 yr up to $8M contract for a role player RB on a great offense contending for SBs is a good deal for him. if he outplays it, he still has age on his side for another contract.

Is he available?

Very good move by Veach. He’s still a young guy on the rise. He’s certainly added a spark to the offense both running and receiving.

I remember reading an article about DW when he signed with KC. Several Dolphins players called him the strongest guy on the team and wanted to see him stay. If it weren’t for the shoulder injury, I don’t think he would have ever made it out of Miami.

I don't know about ideal. If we can develop darrel Williams to be a yards after contact back, we could be decent enough as a 1-2 punch. I'd agree that he brings some things to Reid's style that kareem didn't. Wouldn't overplay that hand though. Perhaps darrel can help us with some of those grind it out yards. For example... A beast who can mow down a tired defense like we needed in San Diego. We maybe could have used darrel Williams on that failed 3rd and 1 vs Seattle. For the price... It'll do.

We all learned a lot from the final Denver game last season in Denver. One thing I thought we would see this year late in the season, late in games, especially on short yardage after cutting Hunt was utilizing Anthony Sherman. He’s crafty with the ball and a nightmare to tackle.

“Running back Damien Williams said it wasn’t a difficult decision for him to accept the contract extension offered by the Chiefs in part because of the chance to play with quarterback Patrick Mahomes. “You don’t get to play with another guy like Pat (for another team),’’ Williams said. “He’s great in everything he does and everyone around him: Tyreek (Hill), the offensive line, just everybody. It makes it great being here because you can have fun.’’ Williams and undrafted rookie Darrel Williams are the only running backs under contract to the Chiefs for next season. Spencer Ware and Charcandrick West are in the final seasons of their contracts.” - Adam Teicher

Mahomes already having that free agent effect...

338 all-purpose yards and five touchdowns in the last four weeks.

Cheers to Mr. Williams. Good signing for him and the team.

Oops also run-stopping linebackers.
