Right, I get that. I'm not scared of sugar or caffiene.

And quite frankly, it's probably irrational, but I see what SSRIs or anxiety medications do to people both on them and coming off of them.

I don't really understand brain functionality, and I don't think the medical field has a 100% grasp of how it works. Then you look at the number of people on the stuff, and it is staggering.

Either way, my worst nightmare is losing my shit upstairs. Like I said, it's the only part of my body that's ****ing working.

Losing it upstairs is the easy part. There may be torment and confusion for the inflicted, but the emotional pain for the family is absolutely brutal. And ultimately the brain controls the body and eventually the organs quit working and it's just a matter of time...….My feeling is that mental health in this country is not a high priority and it should be

It will cause adrenal stress if you take it too often without a break. Go to the Vitamin store they'll give you something for Adrenal Fatigue. Should help prevent you from being tired and moody when you don't take the stuff.

Jesus man. Prozac is downright terrible for you...really any of those SSRI drugs are bad. Especially when you become dependent on them. Rx's never cure anything, they just help manage (some) symptoms, and they're designed to turn patients into customers so you keep coming back for more.

No different than your regular ol Joe street dealer, except FDA/DEA make it legal.

I dunno what's gone on in your life to make you take those drugs or become depressed...we all have issues, but you know what snaps you out of that....eating better and exercising. Having sex will help too.

I just discovered this thread today. I was wondering how many posts it would take for somebody to say, "Diet/exercise are all you need!"

I can't go out of the house without taking forever. I have no motivation to do anything. I feel like I need some help. I've been reading different resources and maybe use some profesional help

I'd defiantly suggest professional help. More so counselling with therapist than getting on more meds . Getting to the root or core of the problems is usually mind set it could be deep an buried and even subconscious but getting talk to someone can really help. Read and know what side effects are before taking something because side effects can be worse than what they are prescribing them for but there are good meds to help out also but as Duke from G.I.Joe says "Knowledge is half the battle"

Coming down off of it is goddamn terrible, feels like that dehydration, hangover feel.

This

Every time I've taken it (recreationally) it felt like coke without the paranoia. You can drink like superman on it though.

If you have an addictive personality stay away. Well, I guess that's most prescription pills. Adderall especially, though. As sure as oxy can lead you to heroin, this stuff has a yellow brick road to meth.

Tough to find that balance on a middle school student. Glad it is working for you.

This.

My advice is that less is more, and always take brakes from its use. For instance, don't take it on weekends, only take it 3/4 weeks per month and in low doses. Reason is that taking amphetamines can put aggregate strain on your adrenal cortex making you experience stress and anxiety. Under extreme pressure, these symptoms can grow to paranoia and amphetamine psychosis. Bottom line, look into some vitamins you can take at night to replace your adrenal hormones so that years of use doesn't negatively affect you.

Yup, me too (addict I mean. I was diagnosed with ADD as a kid but don't take anything for it). I'd been clean 12 years but had to take hydrocodone and Dilaudid for 2.5 years. Thank God dope was never my thing.. I did, however, get physically dependent (obviously). It took me 4 months to taper off that shit last summer-winter. I've been on MMJ instead and, while it doesn't come close as far as pain relief, I'm ecstatic to not be on the other shit anymore.

I have been on it for three months now (prescribed), and the shit has been life changing. So much more focused and motivated. I know it gets a bad rep, and is widely abused, but I think the pros outweigh the cons with this one.

What say you?

Oh no.
