Houston’s thought process is, what?
Deep WR draft and Hopkins at 28 may start to decline? That’s all I can think of, otherwise this reeks of another Bill O’Brien epic fail. |
Texans with no draft ammo for the next 2 years and were desperate for an upgrade at RB so not exactly shocked at the deal.
That said, I don’t know that I would have traded my young QB’s #1 target and safety blanket. This will hurt Watson’s development even more. |

Well the media didn’t report it till the last 24-48 hours, but I’m sure those rumors were already known in NFL circles before that. |

Holy shit, Bill O'Brien is the worst coach/GM in the history of the league. If I were a Texan fan I'd be boycotting and flying banners from planes that are socially distanced appropriately before every game this year.

Bill O’Brien is going to waste Deshaun Watson’s prime years.

So Mahomes pulls a 24-0 comeback and now Kliff screws the Texans in the Hopkins trade. Been a rough couple months for Bill O'Brien against TTU folks. :D

If the Texans were looking for an upgrade at RB, then why David Johnson of all people? Did they not even watch tape from last year? Hyde and Duke Johnson aren't anything special, obviously, but they both looked way better than David Johnson last year. Dude is shot.
I can even see the Hopkins salary dump to a certain extent since the draft is so loaded at WR...but why bring in David freaking Johnson? |
Can the Chiefs and Ravens just play a one game playoff for a trip to the Super Bowl and forget the rest of the regular season? Mercy Texans fans should be pissed off!

|
Isn't David Johnson's contract one of the worst in football?
