Actually the opposite. Acknowledge that what we've done in the past doesn't work. When your qb struggles, let your RB do some work and work the clock. Make damn adjustments, and that especially includes trying gore and Gordon out and stop punishing Gordon for every mistake while mecole makes 3. Can't for the life of me understand the logic of leaning into the same strategies that keep on failing us. We keep waiting for that Reid adjustment, but can anyone see any way that we've adjusted? We seem to be stubbornly clinging to the offensive approach thats no longer been successful.

I would think the former but if he can't make the adjustment then it is not good.

Yes. Very Damon Huard-ish playcalling today.

I don't get the play calling. It's like we have Patrick Mahomes so we MUST be a passing team. That's stupid. Teams are playing 6 in the box against us regularly and we are running the ball overall very well.

We run the ball for 8 yards and Andy won't call another running play for another 3 punts.

And some of the play calls like on the 4th and 1 where we lost yards I just don't get. Andy has always had this thing with trying to trick or outguess the other team instead of just lining up and knocking the guy in front of you on his ass. Which is what you do on 4th an 1.

Patrick is going to have to learn how to be a QB now. He got away the last 3 seasons playing backyard football. Teams have adjusted defensively. They are not letting guys run deep and forcing Mahomes to make reads and go through his progressions.

If he can't adjust he is done. It's that simple. I think he can do it but he has yet to show it. He keeps trying to make the big play instead of just taking what the defense gives.

It’s like you’ve never watched him play until two weeks ago.

Andy, please let Mahomes be Mahomes

Was arguing this very point in the other Mahomes thread. I encourage anyone to go to youtube and look at his TD's passes last year. Alot of his "pocket" passes were him drifting 10 yds + back and throwing it. We also did alot of designed roll outs down in the red zone.

Not sure if the coaches or Mahomes himself, the tackles or defenses have adjusted and are playing him that way to take away that part of his game. But being a traditional pocket QB isn't his game.

That doesn’t work unless the offense is effective in rhythm and threatening the whole field at all times. That’s partly why the rolling out isn’t working right now. He’s doing it before giving the play a chance to develop.

Actually just the opposite. Since the SB last season teams have started taking away the deep ball and daring Patrick to check down and daring Andy to run the ball. Thus far we are barely 1 game over .500 in that ordeal.

It’s a combination of a bunch of things.

1. Nobody outside of Hill and Kelce are getting open.
2. The turnovers got to Mahomes and now he’s skittish when forcing balls.
3. I think his turf toe is still bothering him some.
4. The OTs aren’t clicking yet.
5. Reid’s game plans have been suspect.

I'm at the point we just go full on hurry up offense most of the time. Get Mahomes going at a pace where he's playing habitually instead of having time to get inside his own head and limit these stupid gimmick plays that have been killing drives.

I like how you conveniently omitted the dumpster fire of a defense we've fielded until two weeks ago.

When every time you take the field you're down 7 more points, it tends to change how decisions get made.

Can't imagine he believes a word he's typing, especially what you quoted (because those teams have won so many Super Bowls!??! but probably enjoying all of the attention.

I’m not sure what those pieces of trivia have to do with you having no idea what you were watching with Mahomes the last three seasons.

Uh huh...and when the defense stepped up our offense did dick.

Did we take the field down 7 points today? In fact, GB insisted we blow them out today and our offense refused to take them up on the offer.

I believe at one point we had 3 or 4 straight 3 and out series.

I am no fan of Spags and our D but the fact is it is our offense that has shit their leg when the games are on the line this season.

Baltimore: fumble
Chargers: 4 turnovers
Bills: multiple turnovers
Titans: turnovers and complete suckage

Today our offense made the game saving play because our defense held the other team to 7 points.

Get that? Our offense with Patrick Mahomes needed our defense to hold a backup QB to 7 points for us to win.

Keep posting your polls though....
