As I said, I don’t think it was about the Bengals. It was about getting a Mahomes/Herbert Wild Card matchup and getting Pat for 3 playoff games instead of 2. KC was nationally broadcasted almost every week this season. They are the biggest draw in the league. Them getting the number one seed takes them off TV for a week.

No Timmy...I put Casino $$$ on the two biggest upsets of the year in the same weekend...and it was the only two bets I made. Go look it up...it's in the archive somewhere.

I guess predicting this Raiders/Chargers "win and in" scenario 3 weeks ago was "after the fact"...or the Rams/Raiders winning this past weekend was also.

Stick to irrational, emotional posts and outbursts....it's what you do best.

Honestly, the only prediction I was wrong about was this week's Chiefs/Bengals....and we all witnessed what it took. Chiefs blowing the doors off of them...only to score 3 points in the second half....kind of like a lot of other KC games...1st Tampa meeting comes to mind. They looked like an entirely different team...this happens with some frequency. *cough*

Though I thoroughly disagree with the reason you gave of "Raiders will be rebuilding". In a rigged NFL, (especially in your rigged universe) the NFL are king makers, therefore they can make any team relevant anytime they want.

Take the Chiefs turnaround for example, going from a 2 win disaster to a playoff team the following season.

I'm just giving pros/cons for both...I wouldn't touch this game if I were betting.

NFL has legit reasons for advancing either one of them...if I worked for NFL inc....I would prefer the Raiders to win....better ratings, Vegas footprint, solo stadium ownership....I honestly dont think the NFL cares that much about the Chargers other than SoFi.

You are correct, my bad. Forgot to mention that detail.

The Texans will beat the Titans, giving Mahomes the #1 seed and eliminating the boring Titans in the Wc round. Just call your shot dude, like I just did. Don't allude to shit and then try to claim a W next week. Just say it.

Why would the NFL want two L.A team's in the playoffs? Especially when one dominates the market.

lol, this theory is over a year old. This first quote was posted days before the Chiefs beat the Raiders in Vegas, and the Raiders would lose 5 of 6, and the other one is from October last season.

And this season it's two 9-7 teams fighting it out for one of the last seeds in the playoffs.... yeah, the NFL is trying so hard to build hype for these new stadiums. ROFLLMAO

NFL corporate has already seen to it that the Saints and Chiefs are PR fodder...if you go to a Raiders forum, check out how excited they are. THAT was/is the goal...generate new fan interest and land a "low hanging fruit" post-season position. Sell hope....

NFL had other plans...they sent in their Hatchet crew for the first time all year. Looks like potentially 3 weeks of post-season Mahomes was the call.

The Titans still have to play the Texans...

so then who controlled the face-****ing exactly? was it nfl inc.? the mafia? the reptilians? jews? jesuits? dwarves? fairies? trolls? elves? who exactly?

nfl seems to always have other plans. predicting their nefarious schemes is like nailing jello to a tree.

so gotcha. we want mahomes in three post-season playoff games. plus the super bowl obvs. so if the chiefs lose any of those games, how does that maximize profits and popularity?

but wait...you seem to be predicting the texans will beat the tits, which limits mahomes to only two playoff games.

oh who are we kidding? you're playing both sides against the middle so no matter which way it goes you can claim to be the king of predictions with the tinfoil crown.

but wait.....everyone is just writing off the poor broncos. what a story that would be if they upset the chiefs in week 18!!!! heh, you just can't make this stuff up...

we live in "interesting" times...

Now we're talking. Nice

Now this is a thread I can get into. I can either see a Chiefs/Packers Super Bowl, finally having that Mahomes/Rogers game OR a Bucs/Patriots SB. The championship games will either be Chiefs/Chargers or Chiefs/Bengals (I pay no attention to the seeding so I don't know if both of those are possible). For the NFC it will be Packers/Bucs or LA/Packers. You can flip flop either of those games, but those are the teams.

Of course, an LA/LA Superbowl is also possible since that's where the big game will be played. Similar to that bs they pulled last year with Tampa.

Didn't we have one retire immediately that made the "forward progress" call on the Derrick Johnson sack a while back?

Yeah, but he was already known to be retiring prior to the game. In fact, I think the rumor to that situation was that Triplet and his crew hadn't rated very well during the regular season, but they were still given a playoff game (Chiefs/Titans) as a retirement gift to Triplet.

So you are pulling up posts from last year's season...to prove what? That KC got royally screwed in their only loss?

If you need to believe this whole NFL business is on the up and up...more power to you.

This is an ENTIRELY different animal this season...one bye and extra WC team. NFL pairing with Casinos. Every game coming down to wire. We are witnessing the demise of the NFL in realtime...

You can keep apologizing...I really dont care. This is legit my last season of following the sport in any depth. Might tune in for an occasional watch...but my genuine interest is pretty much over. Once I'm indifferent about something...I'm indifferent.

So rejoice...I wont be posting too much about it anymore. You guys can echo chamber your undying love for entertainment sport...and wacky, last minute plays that sway the spread.

Gotcha, thank you.

Wasn't there some inference that they used him/them on the way out to do a hatchet job on the Chiefs?

It is kind of foggy to me. :D
