Being able to see the game for what it is...entertainment, is so much nicer. No more being pissed when the Chiefs blow a big lead, or anything like that. I can just watch...or not really and look at it like I would watch some movie or something. No real investment, just something to pass the time.

The game we once loved has given way to fantasy football and gambling.There was a day when gambling was betting on the whole game and 1st and 2nd half odds but now today with these new apps it's gambling by the play sometimes. The spreads and total points change per score now and a person can bet every single one of them.....but no there's nothing shady going on in the game.

What would Mahomes, a guy making $40 million/year, gain from point shaving? Who could afford to pay him and apparently Chris Jones ($20 million/year) enough to make it worth their while? What's the amount of money look like? You really think these two players who are near the highest paid at their position would risk all credibility and be banned form the NFL for money when they already have more than they could ever spend?

I don't know about point shaving...they do what the NFL tells them to do.

I don't see any situation where 'someone paid off the refs' or 'the players'were paid off by the mob or whatever.

It's way too farfetched.

I don't know about any other games, but this one wasn't rigged. First, there's no percentage in Mahomes skimming points/throwing games/whatever. Second, if it was real, there'd be hundreds if not thousands in on it. Third, you'd never keep it that quiet with that may people in the know. And finally, fourth, to pull all of this off, you're essentially asking all of these people to be perfect 24-hours-a-day actors. That includes Gooddell, Andy Reid, Brett Veach, Mahomes, Clark Hunt, probably the owner of CIN and their management office, and a pile of other people on top of that. The chances of all of that? Slim and none.

I don't know, I'd rather the chiefs have made the super bowl tbh.

This is the voice of reason. All this shows how it is impossible for there to be league wide fixes going on involving players/coaches/front offices.
