AJ Brown has missed 7 games the last two seasons. I'd still take him.

I can't, but I trust Veach can identify this WR. What I've learned, from many posters on here discussing how the Chiefs should have drafted Metcalf over Hardman, is that identifying such a WR is rather easy and there is no excuse for not doing so.

Yeah, I'm not concerned about his injury history. His first year they didn't really use him/were getting him up to speed.

Last year, he broke that ankle in week 4. He did have sprain of the same ankle that caused him to miss time the year before, but that's the closest he's got to a chronic thing.

I think they also slow-played his return the year before, when he only appeared in 13 games.

Chark or Gallup

Personally, I think KC with Mahomes at QB is in a situation where they shouldn't need to throw money at the hot FA WR. Go find 1-2 of those 2nd tier guys that are ready to break loose. Aside from Kelce and Hill... they just need 1-2 other rising stars. No need to go get a Ridley or someone like that... and no, I'm not saying that as a fan that wants to see KC fail. Mahomes can make players great, so there shouldn't be a need to overpay at the WR position at this point with Kelce and Hill out there.

They need more than Robinson and Pringle. Mahomes made Pringle look as good as he can look. And it wasnt enough.

To be fair, he said "rising stars". By definition, that's not Pringle.

He rose from absolutely nothing, but is not a star. But also rising stars usually require draft capitol, or a tyreekesque situation.

edit: I'm kind of in the FA WR boat. A guy who knows how to get seperation in the league, will understand what Mahomes is asking him. And use Draft picks for pass rushers and the defensive build.

He's also almost 30 years old so he's no longer really rising.

I would argue that Pringle's peak is exactly why you throw money or resources at it. Everyone on the roster except possibly hardman and the kid we drafted last year are as good as they are going to get. And it was good enough to get to the afccg, and should have been superbowl good, but largely it wasnt dominant.

I know he's old, but I'd check in on Julian Edelman and see if he has the itch to play again after being retired for a year.

Please stop pining for old broke dicks. AJ Greene and edelman are done. One knows it and the other hasnt figured it out yet. Edleman would likely still be under contract with NE anyway.
