Lot's of corn, or was that potatoes? I always get Idaho and Iowa confused
|
I want to move back to Iowa after I retire. Okoboji.

I’ve only been to Pella once(well twice helped there two days in a row for work). A lot of Dutch and have a yearly tulip festival which is apparently pretty popular. I’d assume the cost of living is a lot lower than where you’re at now, before even factoring in your raise. I commuted from Ankeny Iowa the two days I was there, and it really wasn’t that bad. I probably wouldn’t do it daily, but being that close to Des Moines and it’s suburbs helps make Pella a little more appealing. I personally like Overland Park where I’m at now, but if you’re OK with small town living it would probably be a smart choice.
EDIT- There’s definitely a lot worse and a lot smaller towns in Iowa. And even further from from a “major city” |

Go ahead and put htismaqe on ignore if you haven't already. He'll talk you into moving even FURTHER south than Wichita by the time he's done. :D

If Nebraska doesn't have enough corn for you, there's always Iowa.
