Rock chalk, Jayhawk!

I was amazed at HOW they came back. They didn't come back traditionally the way NBA teams usually do in that situation. Sure they made some key threes once they closed the gap but it was Harris picking pockets, playing stout defense and continuing to go to the rim (after getting their shit packed in and missing everything under the sun in the first half).

Confidence. Swagger. No fear.

God tell me about it. The NCAA Tournament is a cruel bitch.

I'm just happy for Bill, after so many frustrating years of coming up short, he finally gets his second championship. Even more poetic that he did it the year his father passed away, I bet he's smiling down on him after last night.

What a roller coaster of emotions! Starting out 7-0 only to be behind by 15 points at the half. I was on Facetime with my sister the whole game as she didn't have TBS (I figured I owe her that as she did that for me to watch the Chiefs games!). I was talking to her and said that if we don't start playing real defense and stop all the BS offensive rebounds we are going to lose.

The second half was just incredible! Watching them come out and just fight was so much fun! Them going out of bounds with 4 seconds left made the last part nerve wrecking, but I loved it anyways!

What a great day to be a Jayhawk!

I was watching with my girlfriend's 16 year old daughter (who watched every Final Four game with me). She said that it was a "fun game."

oh sweet summer child.

I felt exactly the same. I didn't turn it off or go to bed, and I was as fired up as usually when we caught up, but I had already prepared myself for another Championship loss.

I knew we could do it based on how we attacked coming out to start the game. Knowing they were short handed, we had to run, attack the basket going the rest of the way plus finish! But we did not finish at all during that 18-3 dry spell creating a giant hole at the half!

But knowing we could and having the confidence was two things far apart! I didn't give us much of a chance the 2nd half based on how we finished the 1st half! After we scored 2 buckets to start the 2nd half, I knew we were making a run at them, but was it going to be enough was the question that needed answered.

The season was a good ending, BTBOH, I'm disappointed we played so poorly the 1st half and never blew them out the 2md half! People are saying UNC blew it! That KU didn't have as much to do wit s As soon as we caught up, the intensity we just shown, became less and UNC kind of righted themselves. We had Bruan on a mismatch with Love after Love turned an ankle and we didn't stay with that! We let Davis take over and scored frequently to keep them in the game instead of clamping down on him with a wounded Love and Bacot.

When we stretched the lead to 6 we should have never looked back. But instead we let them back into the game, giving them a renewed hope of winning. We really should have won this game by 14-18 pts easily with out our 1st half blunder.

Oh well, A Championship is a Great Thing to have in AFH again!

Now let's wait to see what infraction committee will do to us since the NCAA is not going to pursue the Zion fiasco any farther to uncover the Duke iron in the fire!
