**** my life. Talk about suck. It sucked for three days clear liquid diet but I wasn't hungry and had pretty good pain meds not to give much of a shit. BTW I've only had one small turd on Monday since my Surgery last Tuesday. That's ok the Doctor said don't expect much bowl movements for this liquid diet. So after my first three days I graduated on Saturday to a Full Liquid Diet (two weeks)

*The full liquid diet you will follow contains everything on the clear liquid diet, plus*

*Milk (no chocolate milk)

*Cream of wheat or cream of rice

*Strained creamed soups (except tomato or broccoli)

*Vanilla and strawberry ice cream

*Sherbet

*Yogurt (no strawberry or raspberry flavored yogurt, because of the seeds)

*Carnation Instant Breakfast (except chocolate flavored)

--

Then after my two weeks I get to start a 6 to 8 week Nissen soft diet that will still suck just not as bad.

Sunday my Hydrocodone lyquid Tylenol ran out and at 3am i woke up with pain and I called the doc in the morning and he wouldn't refill it because it was already my second refill and doesn't want me hooked on it so I suffered in pain yesterday but actually sucked it up and feel better today. Crushing meds is also gross and yogurt doesn't help much to cover up the taste. There is a lot of white powder packed in a lithium capsule but ugh can't make it work even with yogurt.

It sucks not having coffee. I crave a cheeseburger and spaghetti and lots of things I cannot have.

Pro tip dieting - Go on the Starvation Diet you will lose weight and save money!

Praying for you Brother. You got this!

You got it my friend.

You got my number if you need anything.

I'll bring you a cheeseburger if you want

Finally got my staples out this is what they look like I asked them for a souvenir lol. Fortunately they didn't really hurt coming out it was intimidating because I thought they were longer i the belly. First couple didn't hurt at all but the ones on the sides kinda did especially the right side. Almost like a fly or mosquito bite but I've had those hurt worse. Nurses were cute taking them out. Because they don't get to do cool things very often the two took turns i was okay with that.

As you can see my frowning belly button wasn't a happy camper.

15 staples from 5 different incisions

Now get to look forward to returning to work working 16 hour shifts again till my wheels fall off.

Just to kinda update this to let everyone know I'm doing pretty good. In fact probably even better that 7 years ago being diagnosed with COPD well I'm no longer having those breathing issues and I'm not wheezing my chest doesn't burn. I think but I'll have to get tested again when I talk to my pulmonologist, I think I didn't really have COPD but I've had this Hiatus hernia for a long time and it was pressing up against my lungs and causing issues to breath. I'm hopeful that is the case. Soft foods I'm able eat much better now than when I started the soft food diet and I think 3 or 4 more weeks I'll be on regular food just got to take it easy for a while.

Also *sigh* I'm back to work that's the good news the bad news is i'm working 16 hours a day with one day off a week. That's 112 hours before a day off. Some nights I may just work a 12 the night before my rest day. I should make bank that's the plan. We aren't aloud phones into work as it is considered "contraband" I tend to forget its in my pocket silenced and can check on CP but I know how to avoid the cameras and and I know where to go to check it. With these kind of hours I'm going get 108 to 112 hours of just overtime.

One day (two days ago) we had a new admit & looked a little scruffy however is a 4 star general and took it upon himself to kill the entire Corleone family because they killed 600,000 New Yorkers. No wonder he is a 4 star General. Also he is himself putting a stop to Area 51 that is killing 50,000 people a day. He was also part of taking out the Taliban. He was well pretty ampt up telling us this when the doctor was on the unit so he was being loudly speaking to make sure we heard him also he said he will refuse meds because they are poison. I always LOL when they say they will refuse meds. The nurses give plenty opportunity and promting them to take the pills or they will get shots. "I WILL NOT TAKE THE ****ING PILLS IT'S POISON" lol Ok we get 6 really big Safety and Security come down to his room in case the nurse needs assistance with administrating the shot. He looks at them and complies and exposes a cheek to take the shot. I've been apart of those when we don't have enough security and and tackle them onto the bed and two or three of us hold them down. Some put up a pretty good fight but we always prevail. Can you believe that a 4 star General?

Yesterday I was 1/1 with a female patient and she was at the med window she says "Im suicidal" then she briskly went down to her room and I had to keep up then she tried to slam the door but I blocked it and then she started banging her head against the wall. She only got 2 or 3 head banging I stopped her right away and put her in a hold and escorted her down the hall I yelled for help at first but everyone else was tied up with their 1/1 we are short staffed. So I get her to seclusion and one of my favorite male nurse we put her in the restraint chair. For name sake I'll call him Freddy as in Freddy krueger because when he gives shots he holds them between his fingers and it looks like Freddy Krueger seen with shots.

I dunno how you deal with the crazy Ras. That's tough.

So am I understanding it right that this hernia was inhibiting respiratory function and you no longer have COPD?

You'll be fine! Besides, we haven't seen enough of your artwork yet so you aren't going this early. Hope for a speedy recovery.

That's a good question I can't say for sure until I see my pulminologist. I also don't know if I over do it will trigger hyperventilation. I'll probably be tested again in little bubble and instructed to blow into a tube and you are tested but it's kinda weird how it works.

I don't think I'm 100% better but maybe 75% I'm applying with that.

How do I handle crazy? I relate to my people.
