Just to kinda update this to let everyone know I'm doing pretty good. In fact probably even better that 7 years ago being diagnosed with COPD well I'm no longer having those breathing issues and I'm not wheezing my chest doesn't burn. I think but I'll have to get tested again when I talk to my pulmonologist, I think I didn't really have COPD but I've had this Hiatus hernia for a long time and it was pressing up against my lungs and causing issues to breath. I'm hopeful that is the case. Soft foods I'm able eat much better now than when I started the soft food diet and I think 3 or 4 more weeks I'll be on regular food just got to take it easy for a while.
Also *sigh* I'm back to work that's the good news the bad news is i'm working 16 hours a day with one day off a week. That's 112 hours before a day off. Some nights I may just work a 12 the night before my rest day. I should make bank that's the plan. We aren't aloud phones into work as it is considered "contraband" I tend to forget its in my pocket silenced and can check on CP but I know how to avoid the cameras and and I know where to go to check it. With these kind of hours I'm going get 108 to 112 hours of just overtime.
One day (two days ago) we had a new admit & looked a little scruffy however is a 4 star general and took it upon himself to kill the entire Corleone family because they killed 600,000 New Yorkers. No wonder he is a 4 star General. Also he is himself putting a stop to Area 51 that is killing 50,000 people a day. He was also part of taking out the Taliban. He was well pretty ampt up telling us this when the doctor was on the unit so he was being loudly speaking to make sure we heard him also he said he will refuse meds because they are poison. I always LOL when they say they will refuse meds. The nurses give plenty opportunity and promting them to take the pills or they will get shots. "I WILL NOT TAKE THE ****ING PILLS IT'S POISON" lol Ok we get 6 really big Safety and Security come down to his room in case the nurse needs assistance with administrating the shot. He looks at them and complies and exposes a cheek to take the shot. I've been apart of those when we don't have enough security and and tackle them onto the bed and two or three of us hold them down. Some put up a pretty good fight but we always prevail. Can you believe that a 4 star General?
Yesterday I was 1/1 with a female patient and she was at the med window she says "Im suicidal" then she briskly went down to her room and I had to keep up then she tried to slam the door but I blocked it and then she started banging her head against the wall. She only got 2 or 3 head banging I stopped her right away and put her in a hold and escorted her down the hall I yelled for help at first but everyone else was tied up with their 1/1 we are short staffed. So I get her to seclusion and one of my favorite male nurse we put her in the restraint chair. For name sake I'll call him Freddy as in Freddy krueger because when he gives shots he holds them between his fingers and it looks like Freddy Krueger seen with shots.
