OBJ is a rook? Seems weird. If we're going to compare football to chess, one would think the entire OL most closely relates to the pawns

Dunerdr 08-26-2022 11:14 AM

Shit. Its going to be a long 2 weeks guys.

No, he's not an actual rookie, but he's very young and inexperienced, right? My point was, he still has tons to learn. And right now there's not a single LT on the team that has much to show the kid.

Prove me wrong, I guess. Is OBJ already a savvy veteran that doesn't need a mentor or not?

The average NFL career is about 3.5 years.

OBJ has been in the league for 4.

Yes, OBJ is a savvy veteran. We have offensive line coaches as well as a head coach that has been coaching up O-Lineman for about 40 years now.

Eric Fisher isn't gonna be a guy who unlocks the secret sauce for OBJ. They don't play an even remotely similar style of football and are about as physically dissimilar as one can be. This is akin to suggesting that the Royals should re-sign Michael Taylor so he can teach Vinnie Pasquantino how to play.

It's kinda silly.

Man we got so lucky last year with injuries. Total missed opportunity to bag another SB.

Every year the NFL championship is largely just an injury lottery among like 8-10 teams with good QBs. We ran very very good last year.

I'm not going to b shocked if one of the 53 isn't currently on the roster.

As much as the 2018 AFCCG stings because of the sheer absurdity of losing because a guy lined up offsides, the 2021 might hurt worse because it's just so inexplicable. And it rests awfully heavily on the shoulders of 15.

Yeah, we missed in a big way there and it may be the one that we look back on and cringe most 20 years down the road. I just can't understand what happened.

When Spags dials up a blitz and "Gay, bundle of sticks0t sandwich the quarterback in the backfield!" things will get weird...

Yes, KC did get lucky with injuries and came up short.

But the year they did win it all, that was sort of improbable to have so many late double digit come backs in the post season.

Yea, yea, it helps to have the best QB in the business.

Still rather improbable.
