This true. However, once the NFL made the decision to not have the Jags vs Titans game on SNF, it opened up scenarios where the least likely team to change much of anything would be Detroit. If Seattle wins, Detroit will have somewhat of an emotional let down but it's not like Detroit will sit players or whatever. They still have a chance to knock the Packers out of the playoffs, have a winning record for the first time in years, and create momentum and something to build on for next season.
It's far from ideal but the NFL doesn't really care and I'm guessing the number of people who say "this is really unfair to the Seahawks so I'm not watching" is zero.
