Well, there's really nothing to work out. I'm just starting over. I didn't have any accounts or credit cards linked to it. So I basically just lost a lot of memories and sadly some old photos that I no longer have elsewhere. That's the really shitty part.

Would you share what likely lead to you being hacked? I just don't understand how that is possible.

So, a year ago last summer I got a friend request from a 19 y.o. girl. I had seen her around some of my band's gigs and when I looked at her profile I saw that she was friends with many of the people I know and even related to our mandolin player so I accepted the request and as soon as I did I started getting odd PM's from her, I just didn't respond and put it off to teenage girl BS. Then around this time last year I got a message asking how I was doing, so I responded "fine and you?" Then "she" gives me this spiel about how she's locked out of her account and can only communicate through PMs. She asked for my e-mail so Facebook could send me her reset code, is this sounding familiar? Anyway I recognized it for the hacker scheme it was and thought about toying with "her" by saying "ok, show me dem tiddies first" but since "she" is supposed to be young and related to a band member I just said "Not today, hacker" and unfriended "her". I brought this up to her uncle, our mando player, and he said that her account had been taken over a couple of years ago and that even though she has complained to Facebook, since they changed her password and e-mail address, there is nothing they can (will?) do about it.

I mean, what's he going to do, get mad and off the microwave? :evil:

Have you gone into your account and changed your password?

Much like Leann, I already have your phone number. Report that account if you can and then block it.

As for recovering my old account, it's just not an option. The ****er immediately changed everything, including email and phone number. Completely wrecks their dogshit account recovery system.

I understand that totally. Due to operator error on my part, I lost all my pics from the AFC Championship game vs the Titans. Fortunately I posted a few to Facebook and I still have those.

I almost asked you if you needed any of the pics before I unfriended the old account.

Maybe someone who is still friends with it can get them downloaded & send to you.

Like he said in the OP, go to his old page and report it to FB.. not that it does much good, but at least sending multiple reports might mildly annoy someone (if anyone actually looks at those).

Thanks, but don't worry about it. It would be too much of a pain in the ass for me to try to think of which ones I have and don't have, and for you to fish through them.

I just look at it as punishment from the internet gods for being a dipshit.
