The flip side of people going too slow in the passing lane are the dickheads that think the passing lane is the Autobhan.

If i look down and im doing 80-90MPH in the fast lane and you're running up on me fast and tailgating me, you can get ****ed. Fast lane doesn't mean "excessive speed" lane.

Correct. If I'm going close to 10 MPH over I'm not budging.

If I see someone driving way too fast or generally stupidly I try to let them by so they can get as far the **** away from me as possible.

I had a job where I drove 3-4 days a week all over the state, eventually I realized that when I was driving from one location to the next that I was mostly free from the job. Unless someone called me, I wasn't expected to respond to email until it was convenient. I could listen to books on tape, youtube, basketball games, whatever... and so I learned to be much more patient in traffic bc I realized I was getting paid to spend like 80% of my work time sitting around in it.

I don't care is somebody wants to speed. Its their risk.
In addition when I'm on my motorcycle I just want free from vehicle space, so often I look for it by going faster then the cluster of vehicles, which means even if you are going 10 over in the left lane I want you to move so I have pole position.

Just as easy to pass someone in the right lane

If I'm in the left lane going ~10 mph over, and some DB comes flying up on me, I'll only get over if the next lane over is clear or going the same speed as me. If that lane is considerably slower, I'm staying put until I'm sure I'm not going to get caught in slower traffic.
