Gonna find out quite a bit about Smith and Taylor at OT as they go against that Lions front, particularly James Houston IV who broke out in the 2nd half of the '22 season.

he was one of my sleepers headed into the '22 draft. Still can't believe we didn't poach him from the Lions practice squad.

I'd guess fox has the Philly game and blocked it to keep and CBS wants to keep Bills and Bengals.

As I posted yesterday, it still doesn't make sense... They could have had the Chargers, Raiders or Broncos, all better matchups to the average fan. No complaint from me though.

Super Bowl LVIII preview.

Raiders or Broncos....nah.

Chargers maybe, but I doubt anyone wants a division game to start the season?

With Dan Campbell being an energy kind of coach I fully expect the Lions to come out swinging. Theyll probably go for any 4th and short. Winning this game could be a trajectory changer for them on the season.

Everybody buying in on the Lions hype including the league

It keeps them at the top of the news cycle. There's a tangible benefit to that.

It is extremely stupid, but it's generating conversation and clicks which is all they care about. Eventually, you would think there is going to be an oversaturation problem but it sure doesn't seem to be happening yet. When you never really get a chance to miss football, it will take away some of the excitement.

Basics my thoughts as well... yeah, a bunch of these "news" sources get clicks on rumors and the "leaks" and then the official announcements.....

And even dragging it out with multiple announcements seems relatively fine, by releasing holiday games, opening weekend, etc... but then adding all of these "worst kept secret" leaks doesn't seem to add much value besides, like you said, having more segments on ESPN and a ton of garbage on social media.

The people who already care just want to know, and the people who may not really care aren't going remember what's what between now and Sept.

If I'm an AFC West team, the last thing I want to do is play the Chiefs the first week of the season.

Give Andy Reid all the time he wants to gameplan against me? No, thank you.

Sure, the Chiefs are coming in blind against what changes you made in the offseason, but Andy Reid's history is such that you're going to be at a disadvantage against him when he has time to prep for you.

Gonna tell the visiting Lions fans that burnt ends are barbecued kneecaps

Pasta Little Brioni 05-11-2023 08:47 AM

I'm shocked Mahomo hasn't posted a schedule update on the Titans signing some 6th string TE....

Raiders @ Chiefs Christmas day. Morning game which seems odd being a Monday.

Week 1 is crazy though. Our opener vs the Patriots, The Titans loss, and that Chargers comeback all come to mind. Of course that was pre Mahomes

Now that I think about it we've only lost 1 season opener under Andy
