We need a Last Ronin open world TMNT game, similar to the Arkham Batman games.

Hopefully the rumors are true that they're making one.

In a year with fantastic animated movies (Puss in Boots, Spiderman, and now TMNT), this might have been the best. Ice Cube killed it as Superfly, music was great, honestly the only low point was some of the character designs like Splinter and April. They wanna woke it up and race swap April that's whatever; the voice actress from The Bear did an amazing job, but there was no reason to make her look like a frumpy middle aged woman.

I honestly didn't like the way they drew people in general. I think they may have been trying to make people look ugly since fear of people is a big part of the story line, but I feel they went a bit too far with it

This is streaming on Paramount+ for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet.

I thought it was a lot of fun and especially loved the music. The No Diggity and Superfly scenes were the most memorable.

As generally a strict fan of respect the source material or **** off, this one didn't piss me off to sit through with my kids.

Is it as good as the graphic novels or original cartoon series, **** no, but it is WORLDS better than the trash that Michael Bay produced.

I feel like the only REAL gaffe here, was having Bebop and Rocksteady in this mutant group if you have plans to introduce Shredder.

So wierd seeing them as friends.

I had all these action figures as a kid, that they really never did much with in the original series outside of maybe one episode.

So Ray Filet, Mondo Gecko, Scumbug, Genghis Frog, I got a kick out of seeing them highlighted here.

Loved Splinter voiced by Jackie Chan, and loved how his fight scenes were all environmentally improvised, just like Jackie's real life fight scenes. Didn't like the backstory with no Hamato Yoshi/Oroku Saki.

Didn't like Donatello sounding like a 6 year old.

April was bad. Making her a teenage high-school kid as well, I just didn't dig that at all. I liked the channel 6 nods so you can see where she likely ends up, but having her be a nerdy school kid wasn't my favorite concept.

The woke stuff, I mean it's everywhere. She went from a tall Barbie figured white redhead to a chunky teenage black girl.

I did find myself laughing at several things in this film though, which I did not expect.

If I had paid theater price, I'm probably not happy about it. But streaming on Paramount at home, it's a fun watch.

It's not my TMNT, but it's not trash.

I thought it felt a little too childish. Even though that feels like weird criticism.

What they did to Splinter's bask story was a tragedy. Watched karate videos? Come on...

April was equally awful.

Shredder was badass though.

Have you ever checked the demographics of NYC? Or taken a trip to Wal-Mart?

It’s not even like they included any actual “woke” dialogue.

This is just you being offended by seeing a fat person on your TV.

Spoken like someone who needs to shed some lbs.

Hey, I don't know if you know this, but it's generally not a great idea to base you character design justifications on something so ridiculous as " The people of Wal mart."

So what, in the sequel is April o,Neill going to be wearing shit stained sweatpants, with her shirt covered in cheeto fingerprints, strolling around in flip flops buying lottery tickets at the corner Bodega?

Sounds like she already hit the lottery by just waking up in the morning, I probably wouldn't press my luck with the tickets there.

And I'm not offended by a frumpy April o Neill. It's just not my preference, given the source material.

But hey man, if you like to go hogging, especially with animated high school girls, don't let me stop you.

The people of Wal-Mart comment was a joke, but take a look:

The average 20-year old American woman is 5’3.5” and weighs 170 pounds.

People here are fat, dude. Might as well not get your pantries in a twist when you see one in a kid’s movie.

Such a weird implication here. Like you just take it as default that the first criteria for liking a character is whether you want to **** them or not.

That said, the design of April is maybe my only criticism of the movie. I agree with the earlier comment about the design not coming across as a teenager. It's funny, I think the design would have worked better as a take on the original comics April, who was a computer programmer in her late 20s who owned a second hand store.

**** you know what man? You're right.

I mean, what the actual **** was I thinking about?

OF COURSE a movie about walking talking Ninja Turtles doing battle with a 7 foot tall fly on some serious steroids should have its character design strictly grounded in statistical reality, and should COMPLETLY disregard its source material on how this character originally looked.

Pshh. My gosh. Egg on my face here. Heh heh.

Boy am I embarrassed.

I thought you could you know, just draw whatever you felt like.

Now that I consider this home truth, how the hell did Wonder Woman make it to a green light without casting a 5'3 frumpy toad with cankles?

It was directed by a woman as well for Christ's sake! I mean, THATS NOT REALISTIC AT ALLLLLL.

On your Crusader horse now, Virus. You got yourself a real cause to fight here.

You should be.

You’re 40 years old crying about a Ninja Turtles movie.

Pablo 10-07-2023 09:45 AM

LMAO

So uh my kid really enjoys it and I've watched it in the background a couple of times. I grew up with this stuff and somehow I'm able to not give a shit about the "source material" and women's body types and other stuff.

Weird huh? Wallcrawler goes full Vlad in here with ninja turtle shit lol
