Russel was well after Pioli.

Yes.

The first interception was absolutely brutal and 100% his fault. And he spent the entire pre-season throwing hospital balls. Against a backup that gets your WR killed. Against a starter it gets you picked off (and did).

He doesn't read the play quickly so his timing is a step behind. And it gets his receivers murdered - at best. He'll have plenty of 'drops' that turn into INTs because he's throwing to guys as their window is closing rather than opening and creating exceptionally high degree of difficulty catches that often yield bad outcomes.

At this point he's in his 3rd season in Reid's offense. If his processing is still this slow, it's going to stay this slow. He's a non-entity.

I'd bring Oladokun back before Buechele. I don't understand the fascination with the guy. I don't think he'll ever be as much as a regular backup in this league. I just don't see anything to him.

:thumb: Thank you for your response and feedback. I really liked the way the game was not too big for Oladokun.

It's a shame those interceptions were not his fault and it caused him to drop off the table.

Anyone disagree?

Oh no, that first interception in this last game was definitely his fault. The 2nd one I'd put the INT on Powell dropping it.

I doubt it.

How do you develop 2 PS quarterbacks? Unless they actually prefer Shane but he's exploring other alternatives, in which case I actually expect they'll cut Oladokun loose after Shane comes back.

But as previously mentioned - I hope they just like Oladokun better. If that's the case, I doubt they want Buechele back as well.

He was with Pittsburgh and probably inspired to beat the Browns. Well, Denver plays like Brown Oladokun

Lol. I don't think we need any 'word' on that. Gabbert is on the active roster and Oladokun is running the PS. That IS the word.

That was totally random and weird, though, and you don't see that kind of stuff happening here anymore. Usually 5th rounders and up are locks.

I do still wonder what happened with Russell. That was insane.

“On September 14, 2016, Russell was waived by the Chiefs. He was the earliest draft pick waived that was selected in the first four rounds of the 2016 NFL Draft. Chiefs' head coach Andy Reid explained the waiving of Russell, stating that he was unable to get comfortable with the defensive scheme, didn't stand out during training camp and preseason, and was unable to climb the Chiefs' depth chart.”

Seemed obvious that Oladokun has a significantly higher ceiling than Shane.

well considering the process happens once per year, it seems pretty fair that people may forget the EXACT process, aside from your 'steel trap' brain. Good job, you must really be smart!
