I think it would be a great move for James and Anthony to make the move to LA. They have a great crowd there and loyal fans. Miami, while yes they have South Beach, amazing weather, etc., never seemed like a good fit for what happened there. LA is all Lakers, all the time (yes even with the Clippers showing signs of a pulse) and those fans would appreciate that more. The real Laker fans I have met are some of the nicest, loyal people. With all due respect to the Heat, it's just not the same down there.

I'm talking about fanbases.

saphojunkie 07-17-2013 02:47 PM

This is such bullshit. The Lakers aren't targeting Lebron and Carmelo. They're saying that so people still support the team while they tank for Wiggins.

Setsuna 07-17-2013 03:33 PM

Who wouldn't be targeting them? Also who does LA think they are? They must think they crap rainbows or something and they can get whoever they want. F that franchise.

Bingo. This is the perfect time for the Lakers to tank for a year and then reload.

there is no way they will be the worst team in the league or even the top 10. them getting wiggins is highly highly unlikely.

Its not just about Wiggins, the entire draft is stacked next year. I do think they have a chance at top 10 though depending on when Kobe comes back.

So you're saying if the Lakers only have 1 ping pong ball in the hopper, you are going to be surprised if that ball comes out 1st?

Not me! Hell, I fully expect for the Lakers... or Celtics... to pick 1st next year.

Yes indeed.

Well - they usually do.

RustShack 07-18-2013 01:01 AM

Cavs are going to put a bid in for Mike Miller.

You are, undoubtedly, the dumbest person to post on this site, regardless of subject matter.

Roy III is a Rhode Scholar by comparison.

Top 3 probably, but #1 is clearly Dirk. I think the only argument that could be made is for Arvydas Sabonis, who everyone says was incredible before injuries took away his athleticism (and before he came to the NBA).

im actually shocked they haven't worked a sign and trade with Milwaukee for Brandon Jennings. He wants to be IN L.A. he hates Milwaukee, and in turn, Milwaukee has started hating him.

A shoot-first sub-40% point guard - just what LAL needs.

Nikola Pekovic got paid, son. 5 years 60 million.

Please god let KU win the national championship and LA get the first overall pick. I would finally be able to root for the Lakers.

It's absolute hell living in LA and hating the Lakers.

You should become a Clipper fan - we loathe the Lakers.

I am a Clipper fan. I already owned a bunch of blue and red. But if the Lakers get Wiggins, I'm gone.

I just want one single Jayhawk on an LA team.

Clips won't get a lottery pick. They'll be in the finals.

okcchief 08-14-2013 06:11 PM

If the Wolves ever stay healthy they will be tough.

Yeah. Only thing is we're gonna be turrbull defensively. Possibly one of the worst in the entire Western Conference.

Lots of points, but we're gonna give up a shit ton. It's gonna be painful to watch at times
