when you sell stuff you can't control what you get so you a bunch of random crap. To identify stuff you HAVE to have scrolls of wisdom.

I have an entire stash of unidentified crap that i can't sell and i have no money to buy wisdom scrolls.

You can trade town portal scrolls 1 for 1 for ID scrolls. Or you can trade in five white items for a ID scroll. It can be pretty awful, but eventually you will have a steady diet of ID scrolls that drop to where you'll have a stack of 20 and ID'ing the random magic stuff you find won't be worth it because you'll have rares in nearly every slot.

As far as currency, people trade Blessed/Chaos/Divine Orbs and Orbs of Regret for late end items it seems. The former randomly changes the properties or stats of rare/unique items, and the later remove 1 passive skill point from the grid to re-allocate.

I actually never played the first 2, but I've played a few MMO's and this looks like the style of game I want to play now. I swear man, all I ever played from 2007-2011 all I ever played was Halo and COD, only online shooters. I'm so damn behind in games that I missed that I want to play now. I so over COD, won't touch it again. it took up 99% of my gaming time.

You missed out on a lot of good stuff playing COD dude. That game's an addiction you gotta stop. I did the same shit with World of Warcraft.

If you expect an MMO, you'll probably be disappointed. How long did you end up playing WAR? I had incredibly high expectations for that game and it somehow just failed to deliver. Something was missing there.

Diablo 2 is still worth the buy. Battlenet is pretty annoying with all the ****ing bots, but it's still a fun game.

that is a solid point. digital copies require no overhead like retail stores do. They shouldn't be the same price.

the digital copy isn't even distributed by them. you use the blizzard downloader an have p2p enabled. so we are the ones supplying the most of the bandwidth. sorry sir but no matter how you look at it it should be cheaper then the box set

For Windows, definitely -- I don't know many retailers that keep a good current line of Mac games. CompUSA used to be the place to go for apple games.

blizzard is selling a digital copy. from there site for 59 bucks. not worth full price if it doesn't come with the disks an box. it is cheaper for them to make should be cheaper to buy

Blizzard discs are usually Hybrid or whatever the hell you wanna call it. It should have both versions.

I'm playing the beta now. It's a lot of fun. I think my machine might not quite be up to par to play it though. Lots of lagging. I'm playing a monk.

I did the WoW annual pass promotion Blizz was/is promoting basically sign up for WoW annual pass and get digital copy of Diablo for free.
