I can add, when we went to River Falls back in the day - Tony Gonzalez was one of the all-time uber pricks when it came to signing autographs. |

Standing next to the fence during practice, a kid asks for an autograph, and he turns around and snidely says, "It may not look like it, kid, but I'm actually working." Now, I understand he was doing his "job." And I understand how easily one autograph could turn into 20. But what a prick way to say that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 |

A bunch of people and I saw him in Arrowhead in the lobby way before the game a few years ago (the MNF game on Halloween night) and all he said was "have fun tonight." But it was in a you're not getting my autograph ****ers I know y'all want it way lol. Nobody was around and it would've taken 5 minutes tops to sign stuff. |
If Alex Smith is neglecting fans and word starts to get out and become more widespread, don't be surprised if Andy Reid has a talk with him about it. Andy Reid is very big about his teams projecting a good image, and likes his teams to have a great relationship with the fans during camp.

Alex Smith has always been a dick, McNabb esque.
he's just shitty so he has no reason to be a wannabe Big Ben minus the sex stuff |
not trying to defend him, but that shit would get quite annoying

I have a pretty cool autograph story. Back when I was a teenager I went with my friend who was a HUGE Cowboys fan to Cowboys training camp. This was the year before they started winning Super Bowls in the '90s. Most of them already acted like they had won multiple Super Bowls and very few signed autographs. Aikman signed a few. Smith and Irvin couldn't be bothered. I've been a Cowboy hater ever since.
However, the Raiders were in town for a scrimmage and they couldn't have been nicer. Every Raider player I approached signed for me and I was wearing my Chiefs gear. Howie Long was a dick to my friend, but he still signed for us. |

He ignored me and kept walking. My cousin then called out, "Mr. Gonzalez, could we have your autograph?" Tony stops, grumbles, and goes, "Yeah, make it quick though. Which hat am I signing?" My two cousins both gave their hat to him. "Which one, dudes? I'm only doing one." They just looked at each other. One of them thought he was joking around, so he said, "How about both?" "Nuh-uh. You guys got 5 seconds to pick or I'm outta here." I looked at him and he was totally serious. I started asking the older brother if he would be cool with letting his younger sibling have the autograph, but before he could say anything, Tony just goes, "Screw it. I'll do both. You guys are taking too long." He scribbled out a signature on each hat, shoved them at me and walked off. I told my cousins to say thank you, which they did, but I didn't even get a "Yep" in response. You don't have to sign autographs, but it should be kind of an expectation that you be polite(ish) to fans. I know we all have bad days and if you're getting nothing but autograph requests it can get frustrating, but holy shit. What a ****ing bitch. |

i ****ing know Your entire argument is that: A) A player only goes onto the practice squad if he were not good enough to be on the roster. B) 31 other teams trust the evaluation of every other team "If he's not good enough for them, he's not good enough for us!" By your rational, no player has ever been claimed off waivers and signed from someone's practice squad. It's a ****ing ridiculous argument. You're wrong. Accept it and move on. |
I can't believe how stupid donkhater is LMAO

@Jacobs71: Highlights of practice: Stanzi with a dart to Rico Richardson for a TD. #Chiefs

If that's even possible. |

Id love to bump that Gilyard thread from a couple months back and see the homers that thought he was not only going to make the team but produce something
holy shit they have like 400 WRs in camp I knew there was going to be a nobody/UDFA that surprises and makes it. |

I affectionately gave him the nickname Tardy Mardy, so I'm kind of pissed I won't get to use it, but I'm sure as hell not surprised. |

Bet he couldn't pass the physical, or they need to money for Fisher.

You guys are essentially saying that a QB, that was passed on in the draft, and you HAVEN'T EVEN SEEN PLAY YET is so talented that there is no way teams would pass on him if the QB needy Chiefs cut him. You'd think by how you guys are talking about Bray is that he is like the next coming of John Elway, when he is probably closer to Ryan Leaf or JaMarcus Russell. This fan base deserves to be duped every year because they are a whole lot of stupid if they have that high of an opinion of Bray before anyone sees him take one professional snap. What happened to the Show Me State? |
Quote:
|
Some team would pick up Bray, throw him as their third stringer and move on.
|
Quote:
What you fail to understand, is that it happens EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR. WITH. WORSE. PLAYERS. THAN. BRAY. If we cut him, he will be picked up by another team before making it to our practice squad. Not saying its logical, not saying it is right, just saying that it would happen, or at least saying that there is a high potential for it to happen. And you are 100% convinced that it wouldn't. Tyler "effing" Thigpen is awful. That is our point. He is awful, and he was picked up after being cut. He is worse than Bray. And it happened to him. So it could happen to Bray. Everyone is telling you that you are wrong, and you continue to sound like a fool with each additional post. |

We are saying that if he gets cut, he will be picked up by another team. |
Quote:
OK, I'm back... IF Tyler Bray gets cut by the Chiefs (which I doubt he will), it is not a closed case he will get claimed on waivers. I just see that 32 teams saw fit not to draft him (seven times) so there is a higher probability that I'm right in saying they don't want him. |

Which is why people, en masse, are telling you that you are wrong. |

Tyler Bray.

I'm late to the convo but all autographs should die in a car crash ASAP. They're ****ing pointless.

i hope they cut Gilyard to put in a claim in for Schofield
can never have enough pass rushers |
Quote:
We are first in the waiver order, so we would get him if we claimed him. |
yea he would be great depth/insurance policy for many different scenarios.

These guys are on tight schedules. He may have needed to get somewhere. He did the photo and saying that he needed to hurry doesn't nessesary make him a jerk.
If that makes Alex Smith a bad guy, Tony Gonzalez (almost never signed for anyone) is the Devil and Larry Johnson (signed after almost every practice) is the virgin Mary. |
Don't really give a shit. Win games. Be an asshole, don't really care.
Demetrius Harris, if he has a good TC, will get Moeaki cut. |
Hope it's Schofield as well, but I'm imagining that it's preparation for Eric Fisher.

I find it ****ing hilarious that our safe pick blue collar get shit done meat and potatoes RT that we drafted at #1 overall is going to miss the first full team practice of training camp in an age of the NFL when rookie contracts are slotted.
No, the point isn't that it's not a big deal. The point is that it's completely unnecessary and spits in the face of everything that dumb****s who loved this pick talk about in terms of only ever worrying about getting a pick right when it comes to the NFL draft instead of hitting the home run. Geno Smith is already kicking ass with the Jets because he got his contract done. Lick my nutsack. |
I bet he's signed by 3;30 tomorrow.

I think Baldwin could be one. Moeaki is obvious.

Anthony Fasano is very interesting to me
how did the guy stay productive in the NFL. was he even that productive in college like when you look at him you dont think productive NFL player, but he is about as a consistent of a TE as you will find on paper. But he doesnt wow you, he just works, not big not strong not fast just a throwback TE that you would pass by on the street and not know anything of it. |
