Nice!!

big nasty kcnut 11-09-2013 12:41 PM

Defense looking good and offense so good.

notorious 11-09-2013 12:48 PM

This team has come together.

Lockett and Thompson make a huge difference.

Coach 11-09-2013 12:59 PM

Got to finish them off.....

Coach 11-09-2013 01:05 PM

Oh, and the jerseys are ****ing hideous...

Coach 11-09-2013 01:12 PM

GDI. Not a good start....

Coach 11-09-2013 01:19 PM

Another sloppy offensive series. Leave it up to the coaches to **** up the game plan. Passing, passing, more passing. Just completely abandon the running game, which gouged them....

Coach 11-09-2013 01:54 PM

There we go..

49-19, K-State.

mikeyis4dcats. 11-09-2013 01:59 PM

that sure looked like KSU ball...should have at least been reviewed

I agree. I was like, "Um... that looked like our ball." Snyder could had challenged it, but he didn't for some reason.

Pitt Gorilla 11-09-2013 02:15 PM

No surprise that you're too ignorant to see what a terrible coach and face of a program Weber is. Typical uneducated, blind KSU homerism - just like your stupid AD that hired him. Enjoy your ride with Bruthie.

cawkchief, this is why you are met with such derision. I didn't champion the Weber hire. But people like you, with zero connection, (and zero firing brain synapses), can't contain your dislike for a coach who took over for your coach at Ilinois, 10 years ago.. Because he held a mock funeral. Plus you're a huge pussy who only sticks your asshat out of the sand from Oct/March.

You're kind of a savant for stupidity. I think you and CoMo compete for the Grand Raja of light speed ignorance. It's not difficult for folks to grasp that from your individual posts but to really get a sense of it you'd have to bring all your posts together in one place. I'm not sure the space/time continuum could handle that perfect storm of error and ignorance.

Bruthie? Ladies and gentlemen... phognet.

I never understood the Weber hate, he did tie for the conference his first year. Would Martin have? Tough to say but he never did before so why assume he would? Not sure how it will all end but put it this way: If 3/4 of all conference schools would be told their new hire would win football or basketball within 5 years of hire date, would any of them not jump for joy?

The problem with Weber was he got lucky with Bill Self's players when Self left Illinois to KU, and once Self's players left, and Weber had his own players, well, it was a disaster in Illinois....

I'm not holding my breath that Weber is the answer in Kansas State, to be honest with you. Losing Angel Rodriguez hurts big time.

Bruth could take us to the championship game 5 years in a row and I would still loathe the man. Everything about him irritates me. Frank was a good guy and I liked him.

Can't answer whether Martin would have tied for the conference, but I'm fairly certain he would have beaten LaSalle. Frank never had problems getting out of the first round of the tournament. Personally, I'd rather have a coach who gives you a shot of going deep in March every year as opposed to regular season success, Big XII Title or no.

Last year's B12 title will be long forgotten in March 2015 when Weber has missed the NCAA Tournament in 2 straight seasons.

I never understood it either. Oh you mean from KSU fans? I thought you were talking about how much KU fans hate Weber. Cause you know, he had a ceremonial funeral for Bill Self. Maybe you hadn't heard that. I mean not many KU fans talk about it anymore. Ever. Hardly not even much.

Actually I dislike Weber because he's the very definition of SLTH. Poor recruiter, poor tactition, and in general, the very type of coach most of the old shirt tucking fans fawn over.
Never mind that Frank put this bball program on the map with interviews on Rome and ESPN and the stare and the temper. Oh, and the winning. Frank won. Especially 1st round tourney games. And he would give our radio team the stare and **** with them at the halftime interview. Plus the double OT game against XU. And Jake. And Denis. And Sweet Lou Colon.
Plus Frank put a huge clown suit on the asshat from the shiver who suggested after Frank was hired that KSU "Coulda had Mark Fox"!
I'm sad those days are gone. But soon Weber will lose in large amounts like Wooly and hopefully we'll hit pay dirt with somebody like Doug Gottlieb.

I'm not sure how that would even happen. As a coach, you would HAVE to have safety's in place to ensure that two guys with the same number don't play on the same coverage unit.

Dante84 11-16-2013 07:06 PM

My thinking is that it was something TCU has done before, and we caught it when scouting them. Bill probably told the refs to watch for it during the pregame talk.

We waited for it to happen, Bill's all like "see?" Then they call it.

I kind of doubt it. Just a strange (very, very lucky) occurrence.

Trujillo,

CLANK, CLANK, CLANK. Been a long while since I've seen a CAT TE drop a wide open pass. And two of those drops could have TD's. Seemed pretty crazy they went back to him over and over.

The F? Terrible? Really? I don't think you really are assessing the D properly. Terrible doesn't hold Baylor to 35 points. Marginal? Yes. They are unspectacular for sure, but not even close to terrible. Check yourself.

So we are hanging our hat on holding Baylor to 35? The D had very little to do with that. Did you watch the game? KSU possessed the ball for 39 minutes in the game.

Baylor scored 35 points in 20 minutes of possession. That terrible D gave up TD's of 92, 70, and 50 yards, plus two other pass plays of 50 yards. They were horrible that game.

And go look up TCU's offensive rank. They didnt suddenly become some offensive power. When is the last time you saw TCU score 30? How about 30 on the road?
This D sucks. I'm not downplaying the win, but let's call this what it is.

Saulbadguy 11-17-2013 08:47 AM

The defense is pretty bad, but i've seen improvement over the the past few weeks.

Yeah they gave up 30 to TCU - but 2 of those scores were caused by short fields (Waters INT and Sams Fumble)

They don't count like that, Saul. If youngive it up, you youngive it up. They gave up a 50 yard TD right after taking the lead on TTT's 79 yard broken coverage.
They are a terrible defensive unit. It just so happens we've entered a very soft part of the schedule these last three weeks.
