If it is a sunny day. the sun will keep the Titans bench area more comfortable than the Chiefs side of the field in the shade.
I remember that super frigid Miami game, Tyler Thigpen had a strong first half and then he came out for the second half and Chiefs failed to sustain drives and he just sat on the bench becoming a popsicle. He was useless after that. Chiefs may have better cold weather gear and equipment now, but they need to make sure that they prepare for having the colder bench area. |

The Titans can't defend the pass for shit. And that's being generous.
However, they can run the ball. Two items that juxtapose the Chiefs strengths and weaknesses. The Titans are #3 in the NFL in team rushing with 144.5 ypg. The Chiefs are #6 (26?) in giving up rushing yards per game at 122.9. The Titans are #30 in yards per game passing at 274.9 The Chiefs are #18 in yards per game passing in 236.4 I don't like when a dichotomy like that exists on both sides of the ball. Chiefs are the more talented team personnel wise, but the coaching staff better have this schemed out correctly. Going to into this game without Johnson scares me. Sorensen is going to have to be stout and Wilson needs to play big. I'm still not sold on him. |

Did you not know that it will be more comfortable in the sunlight on a cold day than in the shade? Seems like you think you are wise in the ways of science, but if you are so smart then explain your alternate theory for why icicles form on a sunny day when the temperature is well below 32F. I say it is because direct sunlight melts snow and ice even if it is below 32F. |

Another one "No need to get a wr because we don't use them anyone" Maclin's number were good when he wasn't half asleep Hill's numbers have been outstanding for a rookie Conley put up decent numbers until this year. Not sure what happened. Kelce is raping faces WHEN Andy Reid opens the offense up we almost always respond with good passing despite the "flip a switch" issue that makes it more difficult to do. |

If it's run game versus run game we will struggle. The titans running game has looked better than ours lately. Our pass blocking has been better than our run blocking as well. We can beat the titans by passing the ball early and getting a lead. Force the titans to abandon the running game and throw it. Turn Houston,Ford,Hali loose ... get turnovers. |

Tennessee plays in the AFC south.
They are 1-3 in the worst division in football. If KC can't beat Tenn they don't deserve to be division champs. |

The Titans strengths go directly against our weaknesses on both sides of the ball. This is not an easy game just because the Titans play in a less competitive division. Like any sports event, it has a lot to do with matchups of strengths and weaknesses. And this particular game doesn't tilt to the Chiefs in that regard. And this is a playoff level game. The Chiefs win and they clinch a playoff berth. If they do not, they are still in a dog fight through the rest of the season with games against division rivals. This season is far from over and this stands as a difficult game for this team. The coaching staff needs to be on it for this game. Poe hasn't been a 100% and Johnson is completely out. Running a dime or nickle as Sutton is no forced to do almost exclusively plays to the strengths of the Titans, particularly Mariota, Henry and Murray. The Chiefs need to push it offensively to get the scoreboard ringing up in their favor as quickly as they can. Otherwise the Titans will try to keep their running game moving as much and as long as they can. That takes away from Houston, Ford and Hali being the strong point of the defense and forces a defensive line without Howard, Bailey and a somewhat ailing Poe along with a missing Johnson to force stops. And the Titans have been successful running the ball all season long. And the Chiefs have not been successful stopping the run all season long. This is not an easy game. |
Reid is 20-4 when he has more than a week to gameplan.

I really feel like this defense's manhood has been questioned this week in regards to run defense. I think we'll see a really good effort and something similar to the WC week of the Indy KC game back in '07, when all the media said was that Indy can't stop the run blah blah blah. I think we'll see a really nice effort.

Could be some nice opportunities for our passing game with J Casey questionable to play for them

Corners might be 1-on-1 at the LoS but we keep safeties in a zone to help in the middle and deep middle of the field. Even more when we go with extra safeties and just 2 LB's. Our CB's have the sideline on the outside and safeties on the inside but that leaves our Dline and 2 LBs to play the run. That Defensive formation to protects us from big plays but makes us weaker against short runs(under 10 yrds) JMO |

KC has beaten teams with a winning record (two in first place) over the last 3 weeks...two on the road. Smith/Kelce/Hill are going to exploit your suspect secondary and the Titans will be playing from behind...which will negate your run game. I wont go into their superior coaching and game planning. Its going to be one of the coldest days in Arrowhead history and your newbie QB has never #1. played at Arrowhead and #2. seen weather like this. This game wont be close...probably mimic the Raiders last week. If this were on a sunny day in Nashville, I would suspect a closer game... I have nothing against the Titans...but they arent the better team. KC is 20-3...only one of those losses came at home. All three came against 1st place teams. Their only loss in the past 9 games was by 2 points...which was a result of a interception in the red-zone. Think about that. |

NFL is not allowing KC to a SB..I've accepted it. Watch the refs this game...they want Oakland in the AFCC...and a Titans win adds more drama to the South. Follow the ratings... They tried hard to usher in a Raider comeback last week...Carr just couldn't pull it off. |

I'm at the point that every week feels like the next big test. The Bucs loss was crushing, and convinced me there isn't an easy matchup with anyone. At least not for this team!
But I'm also convinced that we can lineup against any damn team out there and make a game of it! I really am fired up about where we are as a team and controlling our destiny heading into the playoffs. So bring on the next damn opponent, and let's get this done! Chiefs 27-17 final |

Jesus according to Facebook Missouri isn't even drivable. Are they even going to play football tomorrow?

Pretty clear these hillbilly Tennessee fans haven't been part of a game where it's actually mattered for them in YEARS. Their shit ass team hasn't been competitive in a shitty division in forever. Bottom dweller fans, who AGAIN won't see a playoff game this year, trying to tell fans of a much better, and focused team about winning anything is beyond stupid. When your team is a legit contender there is no team having your teams number. You just go out and punch the next team in the mouth and take the game away. That's what's gonna happen tomorrow. Tennessee is gonna get punched in the mouth, while they're trying to recover from that Tyreek gonna steal their lunch money, then it's the walk of shame back to their house and the comfort of third place in their division AGAIN!

Yes, we haven't played a meaningful December game since 2009. Yes, we endured under bad coaching...the decline of Jeff Fisher, Mike Munchak in his first head coaching job and the the awful Ken Whisenhunt regime. Most of us were expecting that to continue under Mularkey....who knew? And the AFC South hasn't been much more than the Colts during that time and even then they weren't a complete team. But the winds are changing. The Titans are figuring out how to play football and even play with this team and its obvious shortcomings. We in Nashville thought we were probably a season or two of rebuilding away to be interesting but it looks like we have a chance now, so why not? Now that chance means winning out our last four games, three of which were big trees to chop down. The first was Denver and I'm sure they thought they'd come into Nashville with the #1 defense in the league and smack us around. That did not happen. Now we go into Arrowhead for an even bigger test since KC is a more well rounded team and Arrowhead is a nasty place to play anyway with the fans...the cold just makes it worse. Yes we're playing meaningful football in December and every game is a must win for us. But we're also playing with house money. This team has already exceeded expectations since we only one 5 games in the past two seasons. We have the Rams #1 pick in the draft next year (thanks Jeff Fisher!). Every time we play the Chiefs me and my ex-girlfriend (and still dear friend) who lives in KC and is a huge Chiefs fan talk some smack before the game. I do like our chances. If we can keep the game on the ground and in the trenches and not cough up the ball, we have a shot. |

Ive lived in Missouri, at Ft Leonard Wood, I know the type of stuff you guys are into over there. I dont blame you. If my mom was my sister Aunt, and Cousin all in one, Id probably be confused about life, as well as a Chiefs fan. Im not judging you bro, you've had it rough. Chiefs dont win playoff games. Am I wrong in saying that? Its just reality. Tomorrow is a playoff game for us, and I expect the Chiefs to be the Chiefs and lose yet another playoff game. |
Why does every dumbass try to talk smack?
As for the game, the Titans are going to run the ball, and the Chiefs will not stop it consistently, but just making a hand full of stops and forcing a hand full of 3rd and longs can take a running team out of it's game if you can build a lead. It's a pretty simple formula, and one that I think the Chiefs can execute. |

But I'm worried with Mariota and Murray in these conditions that they may be able to get some big plays. The absence of DJ and how we'll be able to limit Delanie Walker is another worry I have. But as Simply Red would say: We'll Be Fine. |
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">We have placed LB Derrick Johnson on the injured reserve and promoted DL David King to the active roster from the practice squad. <a href="https://t.co/FETw6xHkwL">pic.twitter.com/FETw6xHkwL</a></p>— Kansas City Chiefs (@Chiefs) <a href="https://twitter.com/Chiefs/status/810179040325857280">December 17, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Looks like the Chiefs will roll with 3 'true' ILBs, and probably move Zombo there full time. I like this move. Shows confidence in what we already have and I think DL has as much to do with the run game struggles as anything right now. |

Sevenfeet,
Yes, Nashville is a beautiful city, I went there many times when I was stationed at Ft Campbell... your downtown area is probably the cleanest, most well kept and neatly trimmed downtown I've ever seen No, most people in Tennessee arent toothless hillbillies, its just an easy dig to take... what do you expect when "Subjugation" LMAO, who I assume is your boards resident King of the reeruns, comes in here shitting out of his mouth? Heres to a good game, and may the best team win... |

The biggest problem with the Titans is their secondary, and I expect to see them have difficulty containing Kelce and Hill. That said, the front 7 are pretty stout against the run. On offense, we've a pretty good line, and a pair of decent RBs in Murray and Henry. Mariota is still developing, but has shown some cause for optomism in our neck of the woods. I think the Titans are still a few players away from being true contenders, but am pleased with what improvements I've seen so far. KC and TN match well on paper, with strengths and weaknesses, so I'm looking forward to a great matchup. Of course I'm rooting for my Titans, but I think this could easily go either way. If any of you are interested, feel free to come visit at Gotitans.com and have a little fun. Although trash-talk is possible, serious discussions are welcomed as well. Here's to a great clean game tomorrow, and if you're in Arrowhead keep warm. May the better team win! |

The thing people aren't mentioning is DJ led the league in missed tackles and KC has played so many passing teams that they're more geared up to stop the pass and have been a bend but don't break defense. I think we could see a focused defense now that they know this Titans team is the best rushing team in the league. |

Two tough backs, solid line and the threat Mariota poses with his legs is a tough assigment for any D I would guess we're gonna stack the box quite a bit, cant have you guys running rampant... and even though teams often find success running against this D, we usually do just enough to win We'll see, should be a helluva game... lots at stake for both teams Scouted around your board a little bit, literally busted out laughing when "Subjugation" said he was over here "handing out L's"... he was fitted for clown shoes and sent packing. I hope he is more polite at the game tomorrow than he has been here... As for the "rough" treatment you guys seem to think you're receiving, its that way for everyone including other Chiefs fans, and if you read between the lines a little bit you'll see that most of it is tongue in cheek anyway A mud check, if you will To paraphrase Gunny Hartman... "we weed out the non-hackers who do not pack the gear to serve in our beloved Corp!" |
